".......and there are rumors that they've signed another top downhiller to be Troy Brosnan's teammate in 2016" top downhiller so it's Bruni. The head tube which we saw few weeks ago definitely looks like a demo
1) The Audi thing is very likely to be similar to the Candid Thovex ski piece (note how he skied on grass/dirt and it looked like Aaron was going to be riding on snow). I highly doubt he's "sponsored" by them. More of an actor in an attempt at a viral video. (that will pay well)
2) KTM is a very large company. Getting their brand in front of our demographic makes a lot of sense. After all, who doesn't want to compliment their mountain bike with something that goes braap braap? I could see them kicking in a lot of money for this sort of thing
3) Gwin is after the money first and foremost. And who can blame him? His career may have another 10 years or he may fizzle out in 2-3 (hope not!). Get it while the gettings good.
4) YT doesn't need mega deep pockets, just some PE money or similar to make the deal happen.
5) I still say he's going to Fly but everyone at Fly denies the rumor.
6) I'd wager his pay is still less than a $1M/year (all in).
Regarding the proven race winning bike, Canyon doesn't have one at the moment DH-wise, but they do have an enduro steed. Which was created by none other than Fabien Barel. Guess what he could have been up to lately
(pure speculation)
Though the map was quite clear regarding the place of Gwin's move.
If Big S doesn't have the money that Gwin believes that he is worth, then who on earth does?

Dude, you are late to the party. Everything is already clear and confirmed... in this thread or in North Carolina or ... So Gwin on YT, paid by KTM, selling motos to mtb dudes, riding for Fly, switching to Monster. Did i forget something?

It's not that the Big Red S doesn't have it it's that they wanted to spend that additional money elsewhere. Probably towards Graves. I'm leaning towards Gwin getting the bulk of his money from outside the bike industry and picking up a frame sponsor that will let him get heavily involved with R&D. The Claw left Specialized for Canyon maybe Gwin is doing the same to help develop a true DH race bike? YT and Zink have a good relation with TLD and so does Gwin so maybe there is something there? Specialized is better off from a marketing stand point with out Gwin I think. They have Troy who is running all Specialized gear head to toe and on a World Cup stage. Gwin isn't going to leave TLD. I'm guessing whoever comes on board in place of Gwin may be running the Specialized gear as well.

In Gwin's last couple of Insta videos he's in a gym with Monster logo's dotted about and he is wearing a black cap (not the usual Redbull). What are the chances of him moving from Redbull to Monster I wonder?
That gym is the Rockwell training facillity which is sponsored by and involved with Monster (the owners wife works for them) But Gwin has been training there for a long time, as do multiple other RedBull Athletes.
I am loving all the opinions from 'Mericans who assume companies like Radon are small just because they don't know much about them. Mountain biking is big business in Germany and there are some big, wealthy companies out there.
I've heard Gwin will be running the same KTM chassis and suspension Dungy won on this year, sans motor since he doesn't need a chain to win. Should be really good for the steep rougher tracks. I don't know if Red Bull is staying with him or if its going to be Monster, but Kanye West is the new clothing sponsor.

lol Aaron realizes his lifelong dream of being sponsored by TLD and getting a signature lid, only to sign with Fly? Yeah, that sounds like a good move.
Gwin already has his own team/program, so think of it like moto. I imagine it'll be TLD/Redbull KTM, with YT or something similar as frame sponsor, Fox shox, Sram on brakes/drive, Renthal, Smith optics and hopefully Maxxis tires(finally!). He already has good relationships with those brands, so if they each chip in a chunk he ends up with a solid paycheck. Makes sense to build a program instead of trying to find one company who can afford the entire bill. It's similar to a satellite moto team vs factory. Look at Roczen, factory supported satellite team and he's got one of the highest paychecks.
Must have missed that. What gear will he wear in 2016?
It would be really cool to see a profession downhill racer draped in Seven MX gear... But that's a dream
It's kinda hard to believe he won't be in troy lee's apparel anymore. Seemed like the perfect fit for him.
Stikman, I know your in this thread, why isn't Gwin riding for you guys anymore?

A few comments up I believe Aaron has not parted ways Troy Lee.

I am most certainly late to the party, I've heard none of this. He was riding TLD when Spesh had all their own gear, so him jumping to Fly seems rather unlikely. Monster?

Always...Western North Carolina is where all information comes from. Fact.

Gwin= Own team with KTM Motorbikes giving money and YT giving frames and money. And my bet includes TLD for sure.
Bruni, Vergier, Finn= 100% Specialized team, seam structure than Lapierre, different bikes.
Brosnan= Specialized Factory team, plus Graves for enduro races and a second dh young rider.
$10000 that 99% of this predictions are true.
