Where can Hyper bikes be seen? Their official page only has BMX frames and 'complete bikes' that they sell at Wallmart. You can imagine the level of quality of these Wallmart bikes...

I'm aware of these, but surely they are paying MTB stars to ride their prototype frames while they sell BMX frames? Isn't that a waste? Or is the connection with Walmart and the average public THAT strong?

i'd imagine it's a brand-building play for them if their focus is mass-market sales. you could look at it like tony hawk brand bikes/skateboards in big box stores. tony hawk isn't actually riding the gear, but for the average person (not serious skateboarder or bike rider in the case of hyper), they see the right photos or name association near the product and it sells them on the brand. they could be developing legit bikes though. i have no idea.

Sam Hill’s Enduro World Series focus
Sam Hill will mainly focus on the Enduro World Series for 2017 after his incredible results last year with a win in Valberg, France, two second places and two top-10 finishes.

The five-time Downhill World Champion really enjoyed the new challenge of enduro on his Nukeproof Mega and Sam’s fully focussed and ready for his first crack at the full EWS series.

Mike Jones’ downhill ambitions
Mike Jones is healthy again and hugely motivated for his assault on the UCI Downhill World Cup and British Downhill Series.

The young super-talented Welshman has already had a World Cup elite podium and has the speed to be at the very top of the sport, so it is going to be super exciting to see how he does in his third year as an elite downhill rider.

Elliott Heap makes the move to elite senior
Young Elliott Heap heads up the final position on the team moving up from the junior ranks where he achieved third in the UCI Downhill World Cup in 2016. Elliott’s main focus will be on the UCI

Downhill World Cup along with Mike Jones but will also race selected British Downhill and EWS rounds.

Elliott has the skills and drive to also get to the top level of world competition and it will be an exciting year for him and the team to see how he gets on.

I have a quick question, not sure if ist been answered in this Forum.
Last year the Syndicate were denied UCI DH Team Status because all the riders had different kits(O Neal, Fox and Royal).
This year it seems to be the same with all 3 riders rocking different kits..any news on that front? Did Kathy clear that up with the UCI? It was quite a big thing last year.
Loris is on Fox Head, Luca on TLD and Greg O Neal...

That's a lot of rise on that handlebar for a 29er though...hard to tell for sure!

Looks like a front 27.5 and rear 29 to me, hence the high rise on the handlebar, to compensate.

All and all, armchair-engineer-wise, doesn't really make sense, should be the other way around to be an advantage.

Hm, good point. And yeah, having a 29 in the front would be better. Even more so with the high pivot rear linkage design which moves away from the obstacles. But how many 29" DH forks are out there?

The bike still looks short though, so i wouldn't be surprised if it's running a steeper HA for a 29" front as well.

How hard would it be to put pike 29 lowers onto a boxxer and limit the travel to 180 tho?

That is an interesting question, but i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work for some reason. If nothing else the Pike or Lyrik, which i would prefer, has a 15 mm axle.

BTW, i was thinking back in the early 27,5" days that if you'd take the old Lyrik (Mission Control) and put 27" Boxxer lowers on it that you could make a 27,5" Lyrik. Since i am in no way well off enough to be able to play with things like these, that idea never got past the initial thoughts. But if successful, that would make the forst 20 mm enduro fork for 27" bikes
