I enjoy the inside jokes, guys! I've listened to every one of these podcasts and enjoyed all but one part of them. It's just terrible how Austin has such negative views on Gwin; Aaron is a really cool guy and it's a shame that Austin is hating on his speed and success Sad
Other than that, I love the show!

Thanks Digby! Austin here… I cleared up what the Aaron Gwin joke is about on the podcast but I should do it here as well. Kasen made a joke on one of our first podcasts, saying that I said Aaron is washed up, just to ruffle some feathers. He said “just kidding, I’m just getting us views”. Then everyone on earth kept coming up to me giving me shit for thinking Gwin is washed up which really fueled Kasen’s fire to keep the joke going. None of us actually think that and we are all big fans. He has done so much for USDH and has always been super nice to all of us. When I was a grom he let Chris Boice and I stay at his house to ride for a week and has been nothing but cool to us and a good ambassador for the sport as long as he has been in it. The dude is rad and I would bet money he gets back to winning form when he’s healthy.

Anyway.. @Tom_, thanks for the feedback. I definitely don’t think our humor is for everyone and I know on the past couple podcasts we’ve come unprepared and let the structure slide. Schroeder has been working hard preparing and trying to get us to add to the google sheet we have but the lack of structure is on us. Plenty to improve on. Thanks again for the feedback.

These 3 don't do it for me. Maybe I have high expectations after 3+ years of very interesting VitalMTB podcats with spomer but this one is below the quality bar for me. The weird teenage banter, inside joke rambing combined with no structre and little insight from an athlete pov ... I switched off after 15min. Inside line and Needles show how it's done for WCs.

Way too much inside jokes and interrupting. I'm sure it's all great for people that follow them, but not really an "inside line" episode

Appreciate your thoughts on the USDH Unfiltered podcasts we've been doing. The goal thus far has been to keep a relaxed vibe with this sub-division of the Inside Line podcasts to counter the usual interviews detailing an individuals life/career. Which I've personally loved since they started, even prior to being with Vital.

Four episodes in I know for a fact we have room to improve with additional structure a high priority to work on. We have been aiming to keep things natural and let topics flow as they pop up. We have a general outline and talking points for each episode but tightening the reigns to stay focused is something we are conscious of.

Needles, Downtime Podcast, and I'm sure others I'm not aware of offer rad insight into each race as well. Are we trying to compete with their insight? No. All of us have raced at a World Cup level at some point in the past but at this point enjoy speculating from the sideline like everyone else come race weekend.

Always open to more feedback, suggested talking points or specific details you want us to chase down and discuss on the podcast. Cheers!

Listen to Behind Enemy Lines. Do that. I love the banter, and there is a nostalgia I get listening to you guys. But I'm also one of the fellow weirdos (I say that nicely) who spent my youth (poorly) chasing the DH dream. (very very poorly)

For those who never raced DH as a "young adult", your insight is what is valuable, so aim to bring that forth faster. Skip the inside jokes. Trim the fat. Don't be scared to have an opinion, it is podcasting after all.

I agree with all of this except the inside jokes. I love that their's
a back story that brought them together. The more you listen the more you'll find out who they are, and what they're about. In my experience that's what is so great about podcasts in general. The long form RAW talk is great. A polished podcast that is all segments cut together always feels less authentic.
