This is honestly shocking. WBD is a private, for-profit company. If they decide Enduro isn't profitable enough to broadcast, fine. That's their business. But why does a private broadcaster have a say in whether an entire cycling discipline gets a World Cup? The UCI is a governing body. Its job is to organize, protect and develop cycling for its members, not decide which disciplines survive based on the ROI of a commercial partner. It's an unbelievably vague press release. My first thought was that they were trying to sugarcoat "We're killing the series forever" in positive-sounding corporate-speak, but on second read it's kind of wishy washy and undefined, like maybe the UCI is exploring ways to offload the series to another organizer or multiple organizers, which is what it was all along until Chris Ball sold it to the UCI. Just saw this from Jakob Jewett https://www.instagram.com/jakobjewett/p/DUoJT1GAQop/?hl=en I saw this guy win 1199 at Whistler a couple years back beating out both Dak and Luca Shaw but didn't see much of him last season, I guess this explains why. When this guy is on he's up there with the best. Some of the best style out there as well. I hope he can come back from this.

As the feeders series sit now, I do not think they are ready to fully help develop the juniors. I also see World Cup teams holding on to established pros longer before taking a chance on a junior if teams haven’t had a chance to see the young riders on the same tracks as the elites. The generational riders like Asa and the Alrans will be okay, but the riders who take longer to develop are going to slip through the cracks. Hell, forget juniors, how would someone like Dak come up today?

Sorry in advanced for not directly answering the question: I second the idea that the answer is more specific to YOUR business' needs and not just what is cool to an internet forum. As a small or new shop my goal would be to choose a primary brand that is stable (hah, current times) and isn't going to compete against you (ie sell bikes online for less than your cost, or ship direct to your local client base). Primary brands also fill a store for less capital and sell to majority of your customer base regardless of brand name. "Cool"...

this is the (V)Anzac spirit in full force. You the man Mic! For those wondering, ANZAC is Australian New Zealand Army Corps which was derived in WW1 as we fought together, it is a spirit of brotherhood despite not knowing the other person but having a common goal. It warms the cockles of my heart knowing the spirit remains strong.
