As somewhat of a representative from Cush Core I can tell you that it will not stop tires from ripping.As much as we would love to stop 100% of flats, it just simply cannot be done in this day and age. This track was full of shape, angular rocks and I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that Pierron's tire failed rather than the Cush Core.

It was a deduction, maybe false, maybe true. Neither Pierron nor Daprela are mentionned on the CushCore website.

No problem with that, that's understandable. My intention was precisely to read this type of answer, that CushCore (and other tire inserts) are not (yet) the Graal.

4/6/2018 12:31am I ran Shimano Saint with "long" pins. That was good. Then I ran (and run) some TMac's, with standard pins (not that long in my opinion) and those are astonishingly grippy. Even too much grip in certain conditions (to replace the feet for example). I run some SuperStar Nano-X too, with long pins (and those ARE long ! from memory...

After seeing Damian Oton and Yoann Barelli's brake setup I gave it a try. It works wonders in reducing arm pump. Seriously worth trying out.

Looks like we'll see A LOT of little lever at the left of the bars. I don't like the track (there are safety concerns everywhere I look on the video...), but at least it will be a challenge for the engineers with a good tier of big rocks, another tier of... litteraly nothing and a last tier of flat asphalt and tight turns. My bets are on the fittest athletes. Bulldog for the win ?

For me that's Deity Compound when not in big need of grip (like in street/trials, or dirt. But these are grippier than Wellgo MG-1 or even Shimano Saint -with stock pins-), and T-Macs when a lot of grip is needed (but costly...).

Agreed, by far the best article and pics on the Capra that appeared online today. Well done! Nothing game changing but another solid and well priced bike from YT. A shoot out with the Enduro, Nomad and Wreckoning would be fun.

11/21/2017 2:39am With my 6"2', was on large Commençal Meta SL, then large Kona Entourage (465mm reach) and large Giant Reign '16 (458mm reach, but less stack). Now I ride a Ragley Mmmbop (hardtail, so it needs to be shorter and taller in static than duallies) and a Aidrop Edit (453mm reach), both in medium, and I'm pretty happy with them...
