This is the case of getting enough speed, not the size of the gap. And if some of the fastest racers in the world have issues getting speed, you think it would be otherwise for Fest people? The run ins at Fest are all smooth and clean. Not the case here. All the top 80 racers could clear any gap at Fest any time. Not sure if the guys from Fest would make the cut in the finals at a World Cup. Though, I have full respect and apreciation for both of them. The gaps aren't babies, and it's not...

For a minute I was like, "Hey racer boys, check out the Fest Series for some instructional guidance and inspiration." Then I watched Gee Atherton's POV video and shut right up. The run-ins to these jumps are just as crazy as the jumps themselves.

Even though he didn't finish his run , I still think Sam Hills run at Val Di Sole in 08 , was and is the best race run I ever seen , he literally looked like he was in 1.5x speed

Everyone knows the real race is between positions 40 and 45. David Camp has a slight, three and a half second lead over Eli Krahenbuhl. Dave and Eli worked (and trash talked) at Trek together until just a little while ago. Now its all about pride as Dave works for RockShox and Eli is at Fox. They both used to race well (obviously not anymore) and both were on Team Big Crank at one point. Of course, those in the know are aware of the fact that the team manager of that team was one of the inspirations for Vital...
