From 2016 EWS in Chile. Now go read the list of ingredients on that Alphamine he's about to scoop in that bottle and you'll see higenamine listed. In 2016, when this photo was taken, it was not on the list of specified substances but was added in 2017. Hey Jeff, there have been a few instances across the several years of EWS where the water stops have run out of water, and the race in question was one of them, these guys are coming through the Aid stations after several hundred riders, and sometimes they just run out. Every ews rider is told to prepare for 2 hours unsupported on the bike, and our guys always do. so it was one of those shitty situations. Pretty easy to get rid of the knock block. Problem is getting your fork to clear the downtube. You need a special headset cup spacer or similar. It can be done...but the question is "WTF was Trek thinking!?" "Stiffer downtube"... Yeah, like every other bike I've ridden that doesn't have this problem I've gone "you know what would really make this ride better? A stiffer downtube!". Trek - creating problems that don't exist and solving them very poorly...

also, there are many bikes I don't care for on this site, but like most adults, I don't even put forth the effort to express it because, WHY? to take someone down a peg? seems rude. Theres enough "bro" in this sport, and plenty of ego, so why not shift the paradigm away from the overwhelming amount of negativity in Mtn bike culture and bring about some positivity?

It's not Vital's duty to link their readers to what Dirt is doing. They obviously picked Sam's interview because he has some colorful opinions on touchy subjects and it's coming from a guy who is usually quite quiet about things.

I run the 230x57.5 float x2 for trek slsh and remedy. I asked to the guys at trek if a 230x60 would do the job but they said that the extra stroke can cause damage to the frame if bottoming out

Did you get a 230x57.5mm X2 (to match the stroke on the Deluxe) or are you running the 230x60mm X2 (and if the latter, I assume it works just fine?)? Thanks in advance.
