That was my very first MTB back in the old days, bikesuspension was not invented back then. Rode her for about 5 years until she was stolen.

It's a lot of fun and there are a lot of things I love about the gearbox. For simplicity sake I think my next one will be a regular drivetrain though.

CRAZY build. Chapeau! I’m very curious about what appears to be a line splitter or ‘junction box’ in your dropper cable housing? What is that thing?!?

That thing is connected to the shifter and is to charge the SmartShift battery. The SmartShift box needs power to shift the gears. GripShift would need two cables and i can‘t handle GripShift.

Wow, our bikes should hang out haha. You weren't joking when you said your bike had a similar color scheme. I'm jealous though as my frame can only work with imperial (old) shocks, otherwise I'd have an Intend set up as well!

Thanks man! Its definitely the most color coordinated build I've done so far. Just added new images with HEL brake adaptors that are also red and shaped to only fit their calipers. Its ridiculous but damn does it look good ha. Rides just as good as it looks too.
