Definitly an improvement, but it depends what type of trails you like to ride. I‘m not talking about the bigger wheel but the steering angle. I was pretty bummed on my first ride, on the way to the uplift and on the pretty flat warmup trail the bike felt like a chopper and was kind of strange to ride. As soon as i dropped into some steep trails all was good. I lowered the top crown by changing the spacers to get my bars where i want them. Sorry for my english, i hope you get what i mean.

I think he should most certainly keep his result. Its obvious this wasn't intentional and its also pretty clear it cost him some time. So since it gave his run no advantage (quite the opposite actually) i'd say let him keep his result!

Great article Paul! Im totally with you on this one, I think this 'underbiking' crap that has grown so much in popularity is mostly just bravado and general dumb assery. Same goes for gravel biking, 'look how much fun Im having! I have to walk my bike past every technical feature and I crash constantly!'

I ran in to Paul last year in Morgins an had the chance to try one of his G1‘s. Best ride ever, i was even faster than with my DH rig. Now i know what my next bike is, i‘m a fan of Nicolai since i trye‘ed the TST Nucleon EVO but back then they was all single pivot point. Paul is a very nice and friendly guy who gives his bike a tweak so it matches gor my size/weight, it was a pleasure to meet him.
