Stoked to be seeing more BOS. Absolutely love mine, hopefully with how much coverage they've seen this last week some more people will be interested in them over the current other options.

The gearbox website is www.effigear.com and there is a bit of history there. http://www.vitalmtb.com/community/david-roumeas,24891/setup of one of their bikes. There are a few pictures of construction on my Instagram @richardgoldsbury as far as development goes i drew it got some parts cut made it then have ridden it a lot. I've changed from the sequential trigger shifter to the twist shifter, and changed to bigger reduction by changing to bigger sprockets. Right now I'm trying it as a wide range 5 speeds but I think the steps are to big, so will return it to 9 speed soon. I've changed...

Geometry > travel. Remember, big hoops give the impression that the bike has more travel than it does. The short chain stays and low BB will give the bike back most of the playfulness lost because of the big hoops. The slack HA and long reach encourages a modern cockpit configuration. So I think the philosophy isn't to make an awkward XC bike like the numbers might imply, but more about making a really playful trail bike that utilizes the advantages of the big hoops while minimizing their drawbacks. Really good on 96% of your ride, far more responsive/efficient than a bigger 160ish 27.5 bike, and quite tolerable when it does get super chunky thanks to geo, suspension, and tire choice. We've been testing the Banshee Phantom lately, which has a similar disposition. You can read about it soon.

Seems kind of silly these days to be writing a review for a 26" bike but if you're not in a hurry to switch over to larger wheels the Endorphin should be on your short list. I've been riding this frame for almost two years now and it is the best bike I've owned to date. First off the geometry is dialed on this bike. The small circular part is the integrated seat clamp. Concerning the final build weight, it is heavier than most of the bike you can buy, but it is my first prototype!! But it's around 18-19kg
