My take is he doesn’t want to take any more championship spots and took his last chance. He is kind of screwed for world cups since they have the new rules and has to get wildcards.

My feeling is he planned to see the season out, but already he's saying he'd like to race in South Korea. I think his sponsors recognise what he brings and I get the impression WynTV will live on, but who knows how much WBD will want to charge to allow him access? We've already seen him dial it back a bit at WC races as we have with Lawlor/Vital. If what I'm seeing around hosting costs are correct it looks like they're grabbing every $ they can. Gotta pay that $41billion debt off somehow. 🤑

Wasn't the Super-Bruni thing a joke a fan came up with a few years ago? I know Loic has said he leans into it for world champs weekend to try to get into an unbeatable headspace. I find it hard to root against Jackson for a bunch of reasons: 1. He's obviously a generational talent on a bike. 2. He looks like he has fun every time he gets on the bike, whether it's practice, in a race or at the local dirt jumps. 3. (Maybe the most important to me) He seems to be stoked for everyone. He placed 16th in Les Gets and is reposting Ronan's winning run. He's almost always at the finish line, waiting to congratulate his competitors. I think we can all agree that everyone raced the same course under the same conditions and the best rider for that run stood on the top step at the end of the day. I enjoy the variations and nuance of each world cup track and quite frankly wish there was a broader spectrum in the course design.
