Hope Jackson gets his money up front. Carvana has been heading towards bankruptcy pretty quickly. They hold a lot of risky car loans that are likely to default.

The idea of the bike looks great and geo looks super fun. The part spec to price is the worst I maybe have ever seen. Level T and X7 on a $4.7k bike with a dual crown fork??!! What is this?

If we assume Specialized isn't going to change the layout, all that bike needs is subtle updates to be modernized, and they could race that bike without camo and we would be none the wiser.

Transitions value perspective has left something to be desired in the past year or so, even outside the Smuggler. My girlfriends 2021 GX Scout came with complete GX, Ultimate level suspension, RSC Codes, and a decent Stans wheel set, all for $5300 or so. I feel like they are going down the path of Santa Cruz, which is a shame, as Transition has had a cool vibe and provided a good value. Hopefully they pickup on the feedback.

Pretty sure he's in some murky Vancouver coffee shop doing spoken word poetry about lycra and Mini Coopers.

teethandnails Added a reply to Do You Measure Fork Sag?

7/22/2023 7:04am
With fork sag I generally use the setup guide and adjust from there. With shock sag I use the O-Ring or bottom out bumper to measure. I normally measure three times to make sure I am getting consistent measurement for the static shock sag.

I got a chance to pedal the new FS Chromag's around in their parking lot this past summer. They are super well built and seem super fun. Will be excited to see them on bike shop showrooms.

The two bikes, while somewhat similar in purpose and travel, are quite different bikes in terms of customer base. Also, Transition's compared to Santa Cruz's, Yeti's, and Pivot's are quote good value, and have been for quite some time, but also cater to a different trail user in general who have a difference sense of value outside of purchase price...

teethandnails Added a comment about feature FOX Factory 36 Vs. RockShox Lyrik Ultimate

Interesting comparison. I picked up the new Lyrik Ultimate and put it on a Canfield Tilt. The setup process has been different compared to RS forks of the past. I didn't realize how they treated compression and will have to give that a shot.

So, it's the same price as a Bikeyoke and is a Bikeyoke. The only thing Manitou had to do right, was the lever, which they didn't. Hmm... sounds like a weak effort from M.
