A pretty damn historic one. Think of the bikes they raced on it back in the day and how long they've come along since then.

Dont' get me wrong, Steve's a great guy and I wish him the best. I'm stoked on his progress and want to see him win. But I feel that he owed it to Dave Weagle and everyone at Devinci, and the world of Downhill at large for that matter, to see the experiment through. So much work and hype went in to the creation if that bike. How many times in the commentary do you you hear "He only lost a second or two at most." What if he'd shot back up and knocked Graves off the podium? What if...

"get yourself up to Trestle Bike Park to experience it yourself!" We did...and Hot Wheels wasn't open yet. 8 hour drive to see it still roped off was a bit of a buzz kill.

Nice job Trestle!!!!!!!! I personally will drive 7 hours just to ride hot wheels. I've been to every bike park in north America. EVERY ONE that's is worth riding. Highland, whistler, silverstar . That's just to name a few , and the three parks just mentioned all have PRO ONLY LINES. now trestle can be up there with the BIG DOGS!! . THANKS TRESTLE!!! from me and about 10 of my best friends. WE will be driving from Utah to ride your park even more than before!! .

To the people who will actually ride this trail sorry for the delay, but they will understand once they ride it. For us to open our first "Pro Line" labeled trail and it not to be completely dialed is a great way of ensuring us of never getting the chance to build another. Patience. Hater's keep hatin' true rider's keep havin fun riding their bikes and when you're riding at Trestle Bike Park you better go fast cause someone's always watching!

I'm sure there will be an A Line version out soon. Those crazy kids are probably taking their brakes off right now.

5/6/2013 8:25pm Copying actually stifles innovation in the long run, and in your proposed model shifts the balance of power to those already at the top (Giant, Trek, Specialized, etc... anyone with the capacity to copy and produce on a large scale at low cost and with substantial marketing force). Dave did not use any technology that isn't available to anyone else, but he did use that technology in a new and unique way at the time. The rest is just shrude business. The bike industry is a capitalist enterprise, not an open source bro fest. For those of you newer to...

5/5/2013 7:48pm Patent trolling? The man owns the patents and is defending himself against what he feels is theft from the largest bike company in the world. Good for him. Sure the lawsuit (which it appears you likely didn't read) is the DW vesrsion of events as it should be, but one does not wisely take giant (and Trek) to court without a solid case. Patent trolling? Really? When was the last time you saw a US brand make a non-Specialized licensed FSR bike and get away with it? Do you think Giant would have let DW get away with the Sunday...

5/5/2013 7:45pm The lawsuit is an interesting read. Especially the timeline of events. Comparing the 2 designs (Maestro and DW link) I think most of us would agree they don't feel exactly alike. As much as I love the way Maestro rides, it seems like Dave is in the right to get what he wants. Some good reading here: http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/f19/proper-pics-giant-glory-09-a-20631…

5/5/2013 1:59pm So a guy invents a completely new suspension system, files and gets patents on it, then some company steals his work and decides to string him along for years while pretending to negotiate around licensing the design, until the point where he's had it and decides to sue. And not only that, it happens AGAIN with ANOTHER design...and now somehow, this is actually his fault and he's a loser for complaining? You're saying he should NOT go after "everybody" who steals his work???

4/17/2013 10:05pm The chain system is a good idea, but that's about as far as the good goes on this bike. If this design is ever going to go anywhere other than uphill, that shock has got to be moved to provide for seat hight adjustment. It's really, really ugly too. Not the kind of Swiss design that I'm used to. Ikea would not approve and neither do I.

4/21/2016 10:22am Specialized Status 1 is $2500.The Specialized Enduro Comp might be more what you're looking for, but it's $3,500. Maybe a Giant Reign 2, $2,400. If you're looking to pedal more than DH/FR I'd look at something like the Reign.
