I've rolled across my back many times when I've crashed. In fact, I'd say 1/2 the time the surface of my back touches the ground at some point during a crash.

This video doesn't tell me much. They make shorts with a little pocket you can put some energy gels in. They also make a hip pack that appears to require wearing an extra top layer. That's about all I got out of it.

Tools / Water / Air / Tubes would have been a more interesting acronym.
This is nothing more than trying to create a solution to a problem that hardly exists. Bottles on bikes and packs on backs have been real and valid options, and in the pack's case, a very versatile option.

I'm sure it doesn't add a ton of cushioning and the drop's still super impressive, but landing on a cushioned mat seems like cheating since absorbing the hit is 90% of the challenge.

It boasted 160mm of travel, slack geometry, and the ability to plough through pretty much anything. Fast forward to 2014 and the bike has been redesigned from the ground up around the 27.5-inch wheel size. As we soon found out during our 2014 Test Sessions, Trek had much more in mind...

5 seat post blown up?? From 25 bikes? Wow that's a lot! I would be very curious to know if one brand was more represented here in the blown up section than among the remaining bikes.

Should have just cleared the landing, got a bigger bike and not bothered with the parachute, he did not think big enough.

I'm not sure I'd be circulating the video if I'd done something that utterly idiotic. Elementary math skills would have told them that the trajectory of that ramp wasn't even close to adequate based on the speed they'd be able to achieve on a bike, let alone grabbing brake right before take off.
