I would be interested in getting some more details about this accident. The crash itself looked benign but had disasterous consequences. What part of the bike caused the laceration, where there bar caps installed, what led to the crash, etc. If anyone has any information on this, it may help prevent some future accidents like this.

E.T. Liked a product review Tested: 2014 SR Suntour Auron RC2 Fork

Review by Evan Turpen // Photos by Dave Trumpore Last year I had the opportunity to test my first ever SR Suntour suspension product in the form of the 32mm Epicon-X1 trail/XC fork. The fork showed a lot of promise, especially at its $599 price point, and it left me pondering the potential for future SR Suntour products as more time and energy was put into development. When I first heard of the 34mm Auron fork I was excited to give it a try. At 150-160mm of travel it suits the bikes I enjoy riding most these days - they're...

Glad to finally read a review that I agree with, and that isn't afraid to point out some shortcomings of a product from a big manufacturer. I haven't been impressed with Trek's suspension designs either. There are bikes out there that pedal better and handle chunky stuff at least as well, WITHOUT having to turn dials or flip switches.

I'm 6'1"+ and I rode a size large this weekend. It was compact, but still comfortable. I'm liking smaller bikes a lot more lately. At 6'5" though, I'd think a large would be really small.

So, I demo'ed an Intense Tracer (1) this weekend, out of necessity, and I was blown away! The pedaling was amazing, and it was great on the rough stuff too. I don't know what the deal was with the bike I demo'ed at Outerbike, maybe it was just beat after being ridden all weekend? But after this weekend, I'd put a Tracer near the top of my list!

I'm frustrated with people thinking hardtails can only be ridden on non-technical trails. Most of that trail looks like it could be ridden on a rigid frame.

Hafta say, this news won't affect me at all. I already have a 29er xc bike, now I want a 26 or 27.5 aggressive trail bike for more "fun." Been looking at the Fuel/Remedy/Slash, can't decide which one, but I don't plan to get a 29er.
