I'm sure it doesn't add a ton of cushioning and the drop's still super impressive, but landing on a cushioned mat seems like cheating since absorbing the hit is 90% of the challenge.

I think the wood features definitely add a positive element as long as its not overboard. The only thing I worry about is that of they build one big hit or one big centerpiece feature that sort of becomes a required element which leads to alot of guys taking the same lines to make sure they hit it. Just bustin' your balls with some light sarcasm. If I took a shot every time you mentioned wheel size, I'd still be nursing a hangover in June. It will be interesting to see how that factors in, especially with a track tailor-made for larger wheels.
