Amazing how there are so many people who come to a tech and innovation thread to complain that bikes have changed in 15 years. “WHAT? ANOTHER INNOVATION? HELL NO NOT ON MY WATCH, BROTHER.” “WHAT THE HECK? BIEKS ARE GETTIN EVEN MORE CAPABLE AND FUN TO RIDE? I NEED TO POST MY OPPOSITION TO THIS MALARKEY.” Edit to add: it’s also a really wild take to say that bikes peaked in 2012. I personally think it’s a wild take to say that bikes are peak right now. They just keep getting better!

Got the intend. You can tell just by looks that its something of very high qualtiy. Its a bit longer than my previous foxzocchi so i might need to downtravel a bit but i will try it lile it is first. I love the looks thought. Currently im on 2 cracked rims so i will not get to ride it this weekend but just stare at it, i did push on it thought and as it has been stated before the carpark test doesnt really reveal any of the magic. Cant wait to ride!

6/13/2025 10:13pm thing is, just by judging the behavior in this thread, you won’t get the same fork as the op who paid for his fork. you will get the review ready, polished push with the quality management one would expect and don’t have to send the fork back for the inspection the fork would habe needed initially.

I don’t think people fully realize how deep we are into a new era of downhill racing. Today’s top athletes are growing up on DH bikes in bike parks (Jackson), just like elite moto kids grow up on 50s at tracks. The idea of crossing over from one sport to another is way more far-fetched now than it was in the Palmer era and that’s saying something. Not saying it’s impossible, but the stories about easy crossover don’t really hold up anymore. The bar is higher, specialization is intense, and the depth of talent is way deeper. If Palmer could...

As of next week i will join the intend owner party. Really excited but a bit worried about setup as there seens to be alot of stuff to keep an eye on, compared to my marzocchi coil wich is not really much to deal otver then a few dials for compression and rebound. Is there any manuals from intend at all?

After having gone back and forth a few times now between the Intend and PUSH forks, I feel the ability to tune the flex (torsional and fore/aft) is a big benefit of the inverted design. Historically this has been a weak point, with the single crown Shiver being slightly terrifying at times with the ability of the front wheel to wander aimlessly in rock gardens.
