Blenki is a keen fisherman. Even did a thing with Rob Warner where they went out on Sam’s boat. Spoke to someone yesterday who knows Brook. Asked who he’ll be riding for this year and all they knew was that he’s been out riding a Zerode recently.

Dak in the B-Practice podcast had said he was in. Really good spot for 2024. To me that means he gets to stay on the bike he had a great season on. If he ends up on Mondraker then it means when he said "in a good place" he meant financialy and is getting paaaaaaaaid

Yeah I agree, they know theyd be paying much more in salary and cost flying them around the world if they didnt have BK. Pivot pits dont have alot of extra, mechanics wrenching multiple bikes, Marshy handling all of the juniors. Hell there is more people in the Santa Cruz pit than there is a Factory supercross pit with 3+ factory riders. Would love to see Mark Wallace get at least a Single year contract with Forbidden bikes for 2024. He lives on the island and rides with Magnus Manson often so it would be a decent fit. M agnus I don't think is ready for a world cup season yet due to his health issues so technically there's a spot on the DH team roster. Yes, I remember Bruni specifically saying he got to New Zealand in the off season and was tired/jetlagged from his trip in eco class, and then realised that a lot of the other top euro guys had flown business class to stay fresh (a quick check says 1500 in eco vs 7k in business). Makes you realise some of the top dogs spend/cost as much on a single training trip as a privateer spends on his entire race season.

I don't know anything about BK's background, but the guy does 3 jobs. Team owner, team manager, and pro rider (top 5 in the world). He deserves to reap the rewards because that requires a serious amount of hard work and dedication, and of course talent. Not to mention his sideline projects such as the clothing brand. Plus the guy is super likeable, clearly loves riding, and is refreshingly open and honest in interviews. It would be awesome to see him standing on top of that podium in 2024.

Has Kerr ever been to windrock? Maybe Dyfi is way better but thought windrock should be in the conversation for best dh park open in winter in northern hemisphere. Sorry not rumor 😳

This is the Team Rumors spirit! I definitely don't know the people, but here are my guesses: First bike hints towards a Commencal, as I don't know of any other ”French” brand that is in the circuit. Although Commencal are from Andorra, but French enough, I guess. Was thinking of Radon or Nukeproof for the second one, but Radon doesn't have a team since a while now and I could not find a Scot on Nukeproof, but I am pretty sure the concentrated new team is whatever Intense has going. Or it shows how much he's been making as team owner? There were comments on a podcast last year that stood out at the time. I can't remember details but it was something along the lines of him absorbing something like £100k of costs due to flight increases, and Morganne more than doubling her salary after a good season. So the team obviously had plenty of slack in the budget to accomodate these changes.

BKs podcasts are so good as he just throws it out, $60k less budget compared to last year, riders keep the same salary and he takes the loss. And that sponsors are serious about reducing or even canceling enduro sponsorhip as there is simply no exposure from it. Also interesting bit about the Dyfi and how much that park does for the local comunity and that Dan has been elected as city council :D

What if…the third rider on frameworks is Blenkinsop? I recall Neko and Sam were on TFR circa 2010 which was managed by Martin Whitely so there may be some connection there. Sam was on a few WC podiums and even has a win so that would match with the quote we have of third rider having visited the WC podium. I also feel as though Neko always speaks highly of Sam on the DT podcast post race shows. If Neko and Asa pop up in NZ I would be even more convinced of Sam being mystery rider #3.
