I thought that was excellent. Good views of the riding, good commentary (I laughed when they knew the name of the dog trailside!), no awkward filler, the portraits of the riders without helmets at start of every run. I was trying to enjoy it more than analyze it so didn't have a stopwatch or anything, but of a 2:10-3:00 race run time it felt like half was shown. If a rider lost of gained time on a split it didn't seem mysterious. This one might be contentious, but I think the slower track conditions made it easier to watch, too...

Looking at the top 10 times at the downhill southeast this weekend, half of the top 10 times were kids 17 and under. In my opinion the USDH scene is about to get really young and fast. Those 5 young guns are: Asa Vermette, Lucas Dedora, Chris Liebig, Charlie Golwyn and Collier Key

Had the option to remove the hardware but decided to leave it in. On really cold days when I'm outside I can feel the hardware change temp if i'm not being active. Funky feeling but it's manageable and goes away when body gets moving. Currently I have no negatives for performance gain/loss. Mentally pushed through as if it never happened and have slammed quite a few times since and it's held up. The other shoulder has been separated and had surgery to "repair" it. The broken collarbone with hardware has had a better outcome of the two.

I agree 100%. Ride and race for the enjoyment and the time with your kids. But sometimes it works out and its just a bonus on top of all the great time and learning you do with your kid.
