PUSH Industries Added a reply to Suspension Component Technology/Functionality Discussion
3/22/2023 7:39am MTB's have had it for years! The KYB SSS is just a marketing term for Speed Sensitive System. It's not really an actual thing, but rather Yamaha adopting an aggressive damper tune from their racing program and offering it to the masses as the standard production spec. Generally speaking, the media guys who test bikes are amateur racers so production...

3/22/2023 7:33am Rear shocks do not have Mid-Valves. Let's take a 170mm travel trail bike: Front wheel travel is 170mm, fork travel is 170mm. Front Fork Wheel Velocity Range is 0-9m/sec, fork velocity is 0-9m/sec Rear wheel travel is 170mm, shock travel is 65mm. Rear wheel velocity is 0-7m/sec, shock velocity is 0-2.7m/sec This is due to the fact that rear shocks...

3/22/2023 7:10am HBO and Position Sensitive damping have been around since the early 2000's. The original FOX 36 released in 2005 had HBO... we've had SPV, Boost Valve, Curnutt, etc which have all been position-sensitive systems. HBO is still useful, but position sensitive less so now that most bikes have a pretty good rising rate linkage rate. -Darren

3/21/2023 6:24pm Just for some clarity: Base Valve(s): These are the fixed valves that displaced fluid moves through. Mid Valve: This is when you are creating compression damping on the backside of the rebound damper piston. This is often just a check valve as creating force on the back side of a rebound piston can get tricky due to how easy it...

3/21/2023 3:14pm DPX2 is a Mono-Tube design. The displaced oil just happens to transfer through the shaft into the reservoir like the older Rock Shox Monarch shocks. This design is to allow ease of air can service. Nothing mysterious is going on.

Plus the fear of (what looks like) normal production bike tires exploding at any moment. I really want to see the footage of him going through that banked turn at the end at 115 mph

That was legitimately ridiculous. I get speed wobbles at 30mph headed back to the car park after a good trail ride!!

PUSH Industries Started a new thread OTF Fork Adjust
7/16/2021 2:39pm I guess I'm looking for a show of hands. Do you currently ride a fork that has a quick On-The-Fly Compression adjusting system? If not, do you wish you had that option? Meaning...how many people ride a LSC/HSC fork damper because of bump performance, but also wish you had the ability to put the fork in a firm setting for...

3/11/2021 9:09am Initially we did for sure as we use very high tech equipment which requires highly skilled/trained people, but are in a recreational industry. This often had us being overlooked by talent in fields like aerospace where people thought MTB's were just toys. Now, we've built enough legitimacy as a precision manufacturer with all the high tech toys and have been able to draw talent from the Boeing/Tesla/Medical of the world. This has come from our partnerships with companies like DMG-Mori and Sandvik who are leaders in their fields of high tech manufacturing and often use us as a case study.

3/11/2021 8:45am We utilize DMG-Mori NLX2000SY machines for the majority of our production....they are manufactured and assembled in Japan! Boosh!

3/11/2021 8:34am We've invested heavily in people, and still are, as this thing doesn't work without them. It has taken us some time for sure, but we have a strong team, and now have a great process for finding talent and integrated them into our environment efficiently.

10/26/2020 7:32am my kitted weight is 225lb, PUSH definitely nailed it with the set-up and spring rate. Soft in the top of travel but incredible bottom-out resistance. Reallllly digging it. On my previous bike (much less progressive) with an RS super deluxe rct coil I would frequently bottom out a 550lb/in spring if that helps. Would highly recommend the elevensix

10/25/2020 1:04pm Both the Rail and Rascal are quite progressive actually and the ELEVENSIX is an option direct from Revel. Additionally, the ELEVENSIX has both a progressive spring system as well as Hydraulic Bottom Out control to handle the really big impacts.

7/20/2019 9:01am GREAT episode. I’ve been thoroughly pleased with Push for years now having 3 shocks done over the years and most recently Darren’s wife, Christina, gave me solid advice on which used Fox fork to get that would be best suited to their tune so once I got it I had the factory tune performed on it. Great company at every level and it was fascinating to hear about the beginnings.
