Grassroots doesn't feel grassroots when a race day ends up costing close to $100+. As a parent, it's also hard to justify an 8 hour day to ride 5k feet with all the waiting around between stages. I'm squarely a mid-pack Expert, but taking away the full course from Expert was a bummer. Enduro isn't downhill, managing fatigue throughout the day is part of the game. In other words, a relatively easy day out for a lot of waiting around and money spent doesn't math.

Practice day on Saturday. Race on Sunday. Having the races on Saturday means you have to take off work at least all of Friday unless you know the course. So if you want to make it more accessible, or encourage people to travel to new places, not having to take days off work is a great place to start.

I think it’s time for this conversation, even though I don’t like it. Expert courses need to be shortened at grass root level. We need to bump riders up same as in BMX and DH based on wins or top finishes. There are too many “sport” riders choosing the category based on “expert is too much climbing for me.” Create an expert/pro class for those experts that want big climb days (thank you for making a vet-pro class btw,) we needed that even if the turn out is small.) I believe the core group of Sport riders would appreciate a...

Lack of new venues and stages is the main reason my enduro loving friends are racing less than they were. I know that’s a really hard problem to fix. But Dh racing (even single crown cat) is a lot more fun I think if it’s a trail you already ridden. And is in a wierd way a little easier to tune the track to feel diffirent enough or just have one new section and some that are blown out and some that are touched up and running great. The real highlight of enduro is the discovery/adventure aspect.

The kit is actually a big deal. Aero is an important part of racing these days. If Asa and Aaron put the EXACT same run down and Aaron is in that baggy Renen kit, and Asa is in his bodysuit, Asa is going 1+ second(s) faster over the whole track and winning.

I think we can stop the circle jerk and everyone pulling each others Dak’s. What a move for Jess Blewitt, such an opportunity to grow into an even more amazing racer

Not correlated! I know that Alan, who's in charge of Enduro, is very committed. He is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make changes that will help Enduro, I am excited for what he has in store. Excited enough to come out of retirement for a race or two in the future. Masters class is only a few years away for me.

Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can. As for next year, stay tuned.

Only riders who have won an UCI World Cup get the ability to choose a plate number. The riders you listed won under the older EWS (pre UCI World Cup) series.

I think Troy was #8 for most of last year, so it could be he hasn't gotten his new kit for the year with his career number.

Shout out big privilege, he's a good dude. Always up at mountain creek, just a normal dude that likes riding bikes (with a rap career). I love that it he brings representation for a minority in our sport.

They are probably very aware of the detective work. On a recent podcast either Alan Milway or Greg Minnaar mentioned the Danny Hart censored bike image that somebody altered in this forum, and that it was unintentional, but probably a good thing for engagement in general. Yeti probably heard that and thought they should give the same thing a go as well.
