Wow... what a dream bike! Beyond stoked on how this turned out and came together. I was tempted to go with the new Patrol as a long-time Patrol fan and as someone still holding out on making the switch to 29ers but after a couple of rides I have absolutely no regrets. The marketing blurbs for this bike are actually pretty spot on, it feels like a big bike on the descents and feels very similar to my DH bike but it still pedals so well (more comfortable than my V2 Patrol) and is surprisingly playful and poppy given the geo/numbers on paper. The weight (pedals included) also turned out quite reasonable for such a monster of a bike. I'm still getting the hang of the bike and fine-tuning the setup but it is already blowing my mind and I'm beyond grateful and lucky to have such a sick setup!

Love this build, curious about the 240mm post on your size large, how were you able to slam the post that low? I tried upgrading to a 240mm oneup post on my '22 Large spire but the post was still about 6-7cm from the collar at the lowest depth simply because the cable at the bottom of the post kept getting disconnected if it went lower. If you found a fix for this I would love to hear it!

I'm currently running a marzocchi bomber coil which was a huge improvement over the x2 air, been thinking of going to the Storia V3 like you have here but not sure if it will outperform my current bomber coil as much as the 1500$ price tag. Interested in your thoughts here as well if you've ridden lower end coil shocks prior to your EXT upgrade.

Not sure if your '22 Spire is aluminium or carbon but the carbon frames have more insertion depth for the seatpost. Part of it is also just a bit of luck with slight variances in the frame construction it seems. My buddy has the same frame and was not able to get a 240mm post as low as me.

As for the shock I already had that on my V2 patrol and just migrated it over to this bike so I unfortunately don't have any experience with other coil shocks on the Spire.
