If you're considering buying a G16, it's pretty likely that you'll already have read the whole internet about these bikes. They're pretty radical and you don't just pick one up from your LBS. It's not exactly an impulse decision. Well if you haven't managed to ride one yet, the good news is that all the hype is real - and you really should consider testing one before you look at other options. The basic fact is that they're just faster than anything else - and by miles. Riding a G16 is like listening to a really load and distorted music...

180 mm bikes typically used for park riding 90% of time and 10% for Backcountry; In case you are planning hit big drops, hack to flat and ride park 33lb bike will be quite pedal able once in a while; Otherwise 140-160mm will fit the bill;

skiing / snbd are far more popular and developed historically across the globe; (as road cycling) rather tham extreme mtb it looks like: 100 times less spare part to maintain (even at the splitboard ski tour) 10 cheaper to rent equipment or buy new one you could enjoy it with your family, friends; you should not eat dirt you can...
