I think one of these companies like Trek, Intense, Atherton, Santa Cruz, etc should post on this forum first. Maybe just a half hour or so before it goes public on main page here or PB. Show us some love for our commitment to the speculations and rumors. Clearly we are the deepest invested group of super fans to the brands, riders, and teams news. Return the love companies. Or at least make us feel special for just a few minutes.

I'm totally with you here, but also totally biased, since I have always liked Intense, but never been a fan of Gwin. To me the Intense team of the last two years was the most fun out there: scoring good results with young guns, obvious chemistry among them, some stunning progressive bikes (one of the first to put out 29ers etc.) and always looking fresh in those loud TLD kits, because who the hell else was going to wear grey and purple polka dots anyway? We will miss this team, mark my words! Now compare the above with Gwin and...

I'm the same with the Gwin and Intense rumour. I think Gwin is probably the best pure downhill racer the world has seen since Sam Hill, but the intense DH team has always been about taking on that outsider ethos. Look at how they have backed Palmer, Kovarik and in the newer school, Jack Moir with his obvious talent, shitty injuries and penchant for getting bitten by fish.. Taking on Gwin is moving the Intense DH team vibe from a punk rock and sketchy surfer vibe to decaff starbucks, workout videos and gluten free. Shits gonna end in tears, mark...

I'm watching the GMBN Christmas special celebrity quiz between Rob Warner and Rachel Atherton and I find it interesting that her team consists of Matt Jones who rides for Marin and Sam Rynolds who rides for Polygon which owns Marin and the DH bike patent. I believe people have then tendency to forget that some of the World Cup people who are not on upper shelf contracts still have full time jobs in the off-season, in order to afford all that racing that we all love. Although last year wasn't the best (far from it and I am sure she will be the first one to admit that) she did well as a privateer before joining the 'factory' team.
