Thank you all for the interest in our bikes and in our distribution / sales model. To give you a bit of context, we’re currently a team of 9 people at RAAW, based in Germany, and we ship worldwide directly from here. The US has actually grown into our biggest market after Germany, which is pretty wild considering that every RAAW in the US has been shipped individually from Germany. 4/28/2026 8:03am From the latest Downtime podcast w/ Dustin Adams it sounded like a (bombproof) Hydra V3 hub is near. Also I'd assume a 32" "system" wheel is in the pipeline.

Hey all, I can finally take off my very sneaky blue tape camouflage to reveal that yes, I’m reviewing the new Nomad. Because I’ve spent so many years on the old Megatower, I’m framing this as a Megatower vs. Nomad comparison. Especially interesting for me because of the rumors that the Megatower is going away and the new Nomad does not take 29” rear wheels. The bike that launched the shock-destroying, clevis-extension era! The notched design with bolt on arms was a half baked emergency measure. The frame was originally designed for an elegant, albeit proprietary, one piece shock/yoke. Unfortunately the entire in-house suspension program at Specialized was scrapped before it ever made it to production. The notch/arm design was created to allow the use of any standard shock. I notched quite a eyelets in the Morgan Hill shop before the big suspension OEs got up to speed. There were only Qty8 of these beauties ever made. Nicknamed The Tuning Fork, they produced a lovely...
