1/31/2019 9:41pm Curious to know more about Guerrilla Gravity's new manufacturing method and carbon material? So were we, so we dug up the patent application. Thermoplastic resins are in use, and the patent covers how to make a hollow structure out of the material. This article provides a high-level overview of thermoset resins (used in traditional carbon frames) versus thermoplastic resins and their various pros and cons. For those wanting to dive deep, this presentation offers even more. This isn't the first time thermoplastic composites have been used in the bike industry, but Guerrilla Gravity may well be the first to truly...

Lawd, the NOISE those bikes made! I was able to identify noises made by derailleurs, chains, frames, chainguides, forks, rear shocks... I think I even heard the damper blow in that X-Vert! HA! #wevegotitsogoodthesedays

Review by Matt Swenson // Photos by Chris Wellhausen (Action) and Matt Swenson (Product) OneUp Components produces a wide range of drivetrain products and this Bash Guide, they claim, will “eliminate dropped chains forever and more than double your chainring life.” The simplistic, light and durable chainguide isn’t just for enduro racers like Richie Rude and Jared Graves, we used it for trail riding, bike park ripping and even some DH racing. After two months of testing on two different bikes, we’re ready to share our thoughts on this guide. OneUp Bash Guide Features Weight: 87g 28-30T, 102g 32-34T, 105g...

7/21/2016 11:11am These kinds of debates are what 300 post comments are made from, there just isn't "right" answer? Haha. Who you ride with, where you live, what terrain like to ride, etc... At least there isn't as much trolling on this site vs the other one. Anyway, I use the same argument with the lifted pickup, but more power to those guys if that's what they want and really helps up their FigJam game at the trailhead. I live in the Denver, Front Range and only have one "modern" bike a SB66c @150mm, and use for sure bikepark/burlier trail but do...

7/21/2016 9:01am Jeff, have rarely seen a reviewer so responsive to questions and have such great insight, thank you! One debate I have with my riding buddies when looking at bikes is "too much front travel", seems like this crop of 29ers have all been at 160mm including the recently released Slash but I keep hearing the argument (from guys who haven't ridden them) that's too much travel for a 29'er, too much travel for a bike that will climb so much, too much travel unless you are racing enduro. Similar argument as not using a current gen Nomad or SB6 for...

Review by Jeff Brines // Action photos by Matthew Doreghty We’ve spent the better part of two months testing Yeti’s latest big-wheeled all-mountain brawler, the SB5.5c, and for the right rider it could be one of the best performing frames. Should you add the bike to your stable? How could it be improved? Read on to find out. The SB5.5c was unveiled earlier this Spring in Moab, during which we received the bike quiet favorably. However, Moab is an outlier of "normal riding conditions," which is why we reserved our full opinion of the new steed until we had ample...
