Who told you the shock size is 200x57?
My bike shop (the bike company) insists it is the same shock size (200x51) as the v1 5010. They also checked with Santa Cruz who confirmed - 200x51.
Thanks

I don't think so. It looks like the new 5010 uses a larger stroke than the first version.
It now uses the same shock as the Bronson.
So if you put a 200x50 on it you'll be limiting travel. Only getting about 115mm (or so).

Cheers.
Going to stick with my Mark1 - I prefer the reach:seat tube ratio than the new one. i have a -1 angleset in mine, so the HA is identical, but the mark1 feels a bit more stable at high speed.
The mk2 feels more nimble in the tight turns though.
One thing for sure is if you get a C version with the basic fox shock, you need to get rid of it - the shock is aweful - a Cane creek or Monarch would be a must in my opinion. It feels way too linear and just blows through the travel...
But I did really enjoy it - super fun. I am stuck between sizes now though with the MK2 where as the old XL is a perfect fit...

Yea man, my next bike (to replace my current V1 5010!!!)
The only possible way to make that better is XTR Trail brakes and ditch that specialized bottle cage!!!!
Big fan of all your choices though. I'd have it!!!!

Wow. Such colour matchy. But I almost like it...also notice that the stem is S.L.A.M.M.E.D
...well that took a long time to type
Oh yeah and the Pike beats everything, ever. Even Monarchs are better than Fox these days, everyone knows that. Debonair, superb performance. The simplicity is a triple edged sword. Performance, reliability, serviceability.
Oh yeah and you wanna put the zip tie on your marsh guard through the leg holes the opposite way so it wraps the guard around the leg of your fork, less crap gets in there etc. A wrap of elec tape will stop the zip ties rubbing your fork and barely visible on the Pike.

I think the Pike at 140mm is perfect for this bike.
That's what I'm putting on mine. Have it 150 on my current bike but will be lowering it.
It's a great fork. Lives up to it's hype, IMO. Very smooth, uses its travel well yet doesn't dive.

Love the bike - just bought the same frame myself. Blue CC.
I upgraded the shock too but went with the Fox Float X
Going to be a while before I get it built up and have a chance to ride it. Heading into winter here in Canada.
Post your thoughts when you get a chance.
