few rows down, it says: Setup Cog for fool-proof set up. Utilizes well accepted and broadly available XD driverbody. So I would think it`s still old XD freehub.

Moreda_5 Who told you the shock size is 200x57? My bike shop (the bike company) insists it is the same shock size (200x51) as the v1 5010. They also checked with Santa Cruz who confirmed - 200x51. Thanks

I don't think so. It looks like the new 5010 uses a larger stroke than the first version. It now uses the same shock as the Bronson. So if you put a 200x50 on it you'll be limiting travel. Only getting about 115mm (or so).

When you ordered the Monarch Plus shock what size did you get? 200x51 (7.875x2) or 200x57 (7.875x2.25)? I'm getting conflicting info. Thanks

I think the Pike at 140mm is perfect for this bike. That's what I'm putting on mine. Have it 150 on my current bike but will be lowering it. It's a great fork. Lives up to it's hype, IMO. Very smooth, uses its travel well yet doesn't dive.

Love the bike - just bought the same frame myself. Blue CC. I upgraded the shock too but went with the Fox Float X Going to be a while before I get it built up and have a chance to ride it. Heading into winter here in Canada. Post your thoughts when you get a chance. Jon

Funny, I find it's the exact opposite. I think it's about the cleanest looking frame you can find. I love Santa Cruz's very simple, clean cable routing. Though I guess I'm biased ... I just ordered this exact frame.

Hi again fredro Another question: what version of the Vigilantes are you running? I know they have several (light, fast rolling, tough). Also are they as tall as they appear? Seem even taller than my Conti TK 2.4 and Goma 2.4 Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Is it the new fork that you like better? Or running it in 140 vs 150? I know a number of SOLO riders are using 150 and seem to be liking it, over a Bronson. Thanks
