Good luck to all the privateers who spunked $7000-$10000 on a 27.5 last year and now have to do the same this year on a 29er to have a chance. Nice one SC!

I'm with Loic. Make the max wheel size 27.5 for UCI DH racing and stop making the tracks straight smooth jump lines. I'm pulling for Gwin, Loic and anyone else on a 27.5 this weekend.

I dont get why everyone in the comments is so into 29 for dh when repeatedly actual WC racers say they don't want them. Maybe we should listen to the guys that actually ride the bikes.... danny said he didn't want to switch, brook Macdonald and loic and all in vital interviews and sure more feel the same. so many keyboard jockeys telling top 10 wc riders what they should be riding when 99.9% of you guys haven't even touched a 29dh bike.

I agree. It's good to hear him speak his mind, after all, he is allowed to. I think the bike industry should be ashamed of itself, every privateer will have just upgraded to 27.5 in the last year or two and now it's not good enough! Quick one. Why isn't the SC Nomad a 29er already? Bring out a 27.5 for a year which everyone buys, then a 29er and say how much better it is? Maybe SC is the evil corporation now?

I think two good points were made by Loic and Brendan in the dirt walk around. If everyone gets 29ers, it's the same race, just on bigger wheels. The only people that lose are the amateurs who now have to buy, new frame, new fork, new wheels, new tyres. It's not really progression, it's a variation. Bad Santa Cruz.

We ask a lot from our dropper seatposts - we want them to go up and down on command, lock out entirely, stay smooth, offer infinite adjustability, hold up to the constant abuse of dust and mud, and to do it over and over for months on end without ever servicing the things. From a designer's standpoint that is a very tall order, and it turns out manufacturing a good dropper is very difficult thing to do. RockShox has been at it for years, however, and while they've no doubt had their fair share of hiccups there are several reasons...
