jnev2 Added a new Feature REVIEW: NS Bikes Synonym TR

Nowadays, most mountain bikers own a trail or enduro bike that satisfies their daily need to get out and tackle trails efficiently and confidently. The problem is that once your ride-everything bike...
Specialized's new Stumpjumper EVO Alloy is an exciting mountain bike. The combination of a well-put-together parts spec, with all of the adjustability and capability of the carbon model, at a more competitive price point, is something riders have been asking for. The new alloy version of the Stumpjumper EVO Elite offers arguably the most bang for your buck out of the lineup. With the focus being primarily on performance rather than weight savings, this bike may be the way to go. While previous generations of alloy bikes meant sacrificing some features found only on carbon frames, Specialized has upped the...

In the last few years the e-bike category of mountain biking has continued to fill out and evolve, offering an impressive variety of specifically designed machines for almost every niche rider preference. With most models maintaining the heavy-yet-stable, motor-up-everything feel we’ve come to expect from pedal-assisted bikes, anyone who’s spent time aboard an e-bike has daydreamed of applying just the benefits of some motor assist to their mountain bike. A perceived unachievable blend of broader climbing potential matched with the agile, bomb hole smashing descending elements of a modern 160-170mm bike that blurs lines between assist and human-powered machine. Well...

Graves seems like the epitome of a good person. In addition, he’s got a great attitude, one of the most versatile riders of all time, and always open to sharing tips/bike setups with the public. It would be awesome to have some beers with him and Keene and talk about riding. Speaking of, @sspomer when’s the podcast with Graves? Hoping for a 2-3 hour podcast.

just want to say how much I appreciate this podcast series, fantastic work! Especially getting to know what drives these mtb personalities from all different angles of the industry personally and how they got to be where they are now is super fascinating and creates amazing charactes surrounding the racing scene.

All great out-of-nowhere wins. But nothing tops the pressure-cooker win of Minnaar at home in 2013. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ScreSJA92Y

TOTW was so sick. That is a proper "crown jewel" trail. Whistler is life-changing.

Totally dig the podcast, the super in depth test session reviews, and interviews like this one. Glad Vital is publishing long form content. Vital is really upping their game compared to other mtb media

Evil seems to have a habit of coming out with cool new stuff right about the time we get to testing. We were going to try out one of their other models, but when organizing Vital MTB Test Sessions this year they offered up a brand new rig. Of course we jumped at the chance to try out the fresh ride, as it looks to have some refinement and new features to fit into Evil’s growing line of trail weapons. Fun is a resounding theme in Evil’s line of bikes, and this 130mm travel ripper is no different. Unlike some...

sideshow Liked a comment about Press Release Out of the Box with Connor Fearon and the Kona Hei Hei Trail

Funny story: When I saw the Jeffsy 27.5 release, I thought it would be like this...which it is not. Kona gets it. The move to expand the "super aggro enduro race beast for the consumer" has been a little misguided in my opinion, as most people would be perfectly well-off with a general issue 140-150mm, 67 +/- HA bike with proper reach and stack. Looking through the geo chart on this bike, I can't help but smile to myself, because this is actually what they've done. Rad. Also, this was 100% the video I needed to see today; Dark mood...

Man I'm super bummed you feel this way. Actually it's really hard racing full time and being away from your family. I probably seen my mom a week last year. It's cool to see some of the world but there is an opportunity cost to everything you do, you really give up a lot. When I was finishing my 4 year degree last fall I was flying back and forth to school from the races to finish and it made things really stressful to balance that. While all winter I work anything I can to make enough money to pay...

gravity pirates, where you there? if so you would have been aware at the complete lack of organization throughout the event and the lack of cell phone and internet service at the venue, etc. photos of results were posted to Vital before any news his USAC website. As of 6 pm last night they had yet to post proper results on site. USAC may have had them for their own updates but they did not share, and there was ZERO regard given to getting this info to the media. There are lots of photos and interviews coming, have some patience...
