2/6/2026 1:18pm I agree that it can sometimes be more complex, which would require a conversation. I've had the same experience with the service writing platform on vehicles where a followup phone call is required... but at least I went into the phone call with some forewarning and understanding of the issues and what I was looking at prior to just having...

2/6/2026 12:08pm Sort of off topic, but something I’ve been pondering: Has anyone developed a good service writing platform similar to what a lot of car mechanics in the US are using now that basically texts you a link to all the different issues they’ve found, item by item, with recommended next steps and costs. Then you just approve each line item...

2/5/2026 4:23am In his defense (and I don’t agree that Millie doesn’t belong there) I went to her Instagram to watch her crash POV that she posted. I was looking at other old clips and in this clip of an interview on Downtime she refers to being known as “the girl who crashes a lot.” https://www.instagram.com/reel/DO6YDR-jH7h/?igsh=MTR3MHdmeTU4a3Qybg== Now that doesn’t mean she shouldn’t...

1/26/2026 8:18am I have a Friday coffee group, and one of our members is an engineer… so I had to break out this joke. It’s one of those that kind of depends on delivery. Sadly, I butchered it but everyone still got a kick out of it.

1/20/2026 6:33am Just cause their president is doing things I don’t understand or agree with doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate an American team doing great stuff within their respective sport and industry. Plus who doesn’t love a bit of Springsteen

1/17/2026 6:51am Gotcha. I’d been predicting the Intense thing as well, as it made total sense for the reasons you outlined, so I was surprised when someone told me he was going elsewhere. I kind of thought that HSC (with Clay’s son Zach, Ryder, and Sully Notaro) would just switch over to Intense as a frame sponsor and keep the same roster...

1/16/2026 11:52am Is that confirmed? He was on Intense previously, then was on the YT-sponsored HSC racing last year. I had thought he would end up on Intense again this year, but I've been told that isn't the case, and he has a different frame sponsor (not yet announced).

1/7/2026 3:08pm Personally I find Dakotah a heck of a lot easier to relate to than someone like Jackson. Just a hard working dude from a similar part of the same country as me, also with questionable hair styles, that has overcome some adversity and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty at home. Nothing against Jackson, but his story is so far out of my realm that its just... not very interesting.

1/7/2026 9:15am His contributions to the B-Practice podcast are probably a big reason that Vital favors him (Just like people here love Jesse M. because he actually posts in the forum periodically). It makes them feel like they're "one of your own." Shocking... do good PR things that expand your audience and let people get to know you... and you increase your...

1/7/2026 6:29am I don’t find it sad. I find it amazing that’s both she and her team are on board doing what is best for them at the moment. So many racers would never do this as even less teams would allow it.

1/7/2026 5:52am I agree that this should be celebrated as far as someone doing what’s best for her and has a support network that is sticking with her. I do think that the “sad” part (though I don’t think sad is necessarily the best descriptor) would be that she’s coming off her best season results wise but clearly there are underlying issues...

12/21/2025 3:45pm It’s part of the Gravity champs at Big Bear. DS and DH usually run on same weekend. They did Enduro along with them for quite a few years (Winter Park and Ride Rock Creek at least) then separated Enduro into its own event, I believe, last year for the first time.

12/20/2025 5:53am Things I loved this year: I'm not a gearhead, so my biking loves are pretty much about experiences: 1) YT and the YT Mill Bentonville crew: it was great until it wasn't. We had a lot of fun hanging out there, and it really felt like something special was happening all the time around the place. It wsa a pretty...

12/19/2025 7:16am I get what you’re saying Mickey, but I think it’s actually a positive. There are a ton of kids who aren’t going to go professional who just kind of drop out of mountain biking when they graduate high school because there’s no real organized path forward for them that doesn’t involve forgoing college and dedicating themselves 100% to training and...

12/18/2025 5:53pm If you want to know the defnition of what a forecast is, I cna try to explain in my own words (that is how we work with forecasts and does not need to apply for others): For starters, we are an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for many brands. That means that companies buy our products to put them on their complete bikes. Usually, before the beginning of a new year or model year, our customers will provide us with an estimate of their complete demand for a certain period of time. This estimate is called a forecast. This forecast can...

12/18/2025 10:45am The bike industry as a whole could have sold more than they did in 2020 and most likely throughout the whole 2021. However, the supply chains simply were not able to cope with the demand. And I completely understand that, for some companies (those that essentially everyone needed parts from) it was impossible to give exact lead times. Their systerm could not scale for that demand and that's why you suddenly heard about lead times of 700-800 days. In reality it could have been 300 or 1000. Simply because no one could accurately scale it up just like that, because...
