That's one reason for the various air cans, and in a world where you can get a Starling with 0% progression or a Privateer with 44% progression, big brands like Rockshox and Fox need OEM options to fit a super wide range of suspension parameters. My understanding is that the compression clicks start in the middle of the damping range and damping is either added or removed rather than the more common (proper) way of counting clicks...

I would imagine the focus for the 38/ZEB is more focused on E-bike then longer travel enduro bikes, at least in the eyes of the manufacturers selling to bike companies. Having the pad contact adjust makes a world of difference for having your brake consistently feeling the same. Guide r-rsc's all share the same caliper so upgrading the levers is a cheaper way to get more performance. and 200mm rotors front and rear. I'm really not...
