Is it OE's selling to brands like this? Or is it factories selling off overstock they have left sitting around? My guess would be the latter I highly doubt Sram/RS is selling directly to these brands.

That's one reason for the various air cans, and in a world where you can get a Starling with 0% progression or a Privateer with 44% progression, big brands like Rockshox and Fox need OEM options to fit a super wide range of suspension parameters. There are other benefits to more air volume though, like more mechanical leverage to overcome seal drag. In the coil vs. air battle, more volume is a pretty powerful tool to help air chase performance. That's what they did with the new Boxxer air spring: bigger volume, smaller piston size, more PSI ===> "coil like...

“Dampener” is the verbiage equivalent of counting clicks from open and helmets with removable chin bars.

To be fair Dale was an engineer at Norco, so not quite just a youtuber. However, not properly bedding in the brake pads and not bleeding the rear brake after cutting the line and losing fluid made me skeptical about the rest of the review. Though trying to quantify the lever force with the water bottle test was cool to...
I’m torn on the electronics but what you’ve posed is super interesting. Knowing the settings remotely and being able to adjust them would be absolutely awesome for customers. almost anytime I discuss suspension upgrades with customers they just want “better”. Almost no one can describe what their issue is nor do they know where their settings/sag is it. I guess...
Not exactly related to oil paths on the charger but how do we feel about the change in how compression clicks are counted on this generation of RS? My understanding is that the compression clicks start in the middle of the damping range and damping is either added or removed rather than the more common (proper) way of counting clicks...

I think you're on point for the travel ranges you've listed above. I would imagine the focus for the 38/ZEB is more focused on E-bike then longer travel enduro bikes, at least in the eyes of the manufacturers selling to bike companies. But as mentioned before in this thread love em or hate em maybe E-bikes will benefit us. Cant...
Expensive-ish Sram brake upgrade: Switching stock guide r or rs levers for rsc levers. Having the pad contact adjust makes a world of difference for having your brake consistently feeling the same. Guide r-rsc's all share the same caliper so upgrading the levers is a cheaper way to get more performance. and 200mm rotors front and rear. I'm really not...
