6/19/2025 3:06am Ben Deakin is sponsored by Focus and races DH on a rebadged V10. Pretty sure Wyn's still on a Fury for now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go the same way.

6/18/2025 3:05pm Focus is Pon, so maybe a rebadged gt? Or maybe a Santa Cruz?

6/18/2025 1:06pm Not sure if links to the other site are frowned upon here, but new Maxxis tread pattern. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/spotted-new-maxxis-tire-on-jackson-goldst… Looks like it could be a DHF 2 and maybe bridge the gap between Asagai and HR3.
Glacial Pace Added a reply to Modern bike sizing (aka am I buying the wrong size bike)
6/17/2025 8:39pm Well the decision has been made, I'm going to get an R3. I have also found an old 27.5 wheel set so I can run it mullet (and rebuilt the front as a 29er eventually) and have bought a Works Components 6mm offset headset that will be installed to reduce the reach. Also planning on running a 40mm stem, and...

6/8/2025 7:45pm I haven't watched/listened to the Leogang one yet but the Loudenville one was good. Something to put on in the background when I go to work tomorrow.

6/8/2025 3:52pm fantasy results should show up in the next 10-30 mins. @FerrousBueller - once results are live, you can see other people's teams (if you didn't know). https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy/standings?league=44131&season=8031&rou… they're live what a crazy race! re: roczen in booth - he's rad guy and really good mountain biker, but his presence totally detracted from race calls IMO. my guess is that b/c red bull super mega founding HQ is in salzburg (down the street), he was invited in. imagine booting james stewart from the booth to be replaced by "insert any DH racer" to call the show at a supercross?

6/2/2025 1:56pm Same here. Cost seems good for what you get. I think the commentary could be better but it's certainly acceptable. Rick is getting better and I really like Neko. Warner and Neko would be great, but that's not going to happen so I'll take what I can get. The racing was really good too, and as much as I hate...
Glacial Pace Added a reply to Modern bike sizing (aka am I buying the wrong size bike)
6/1/2025 12:58am I think there is just a huge scope for what size people want. I want a race bike, I'll do jumps on it, but the radest trick I'm likely to do is a slightly tweaked turn-bar. If I wanted to do rad stunts then I'd probably want the smaller size, or more likely I'd buy something different.

5/31/2025 10:36pm Yeah, it's pretty dumb, NZ seems to be getting blocked on a bunch of these videos for some reason. At least Staylive is pretty cheap and we get finals live.
Glacial Pace Added a reply to Silent Bikes - What tricks do you have to keep your bike quiet through the season?
5/28/2025 11:41pm Cool. Good to know. I do generally try to clean all the old Loctite from threads before putting new stuff on, but greasing under the heads does kinda make sense as long as the torque values aren't altered that much.

5/28/2025 10:52pm Grease under the bolt heads would effect the torque that you are putting on the bolt, just something to be aware of, assuming you use a torque wrench and care about this sort of thing.

5/28/2025 6:20pm New Gamux rear end! Hopefully Reece is a bit more on the pace this weekend. How do people think Gwin will do? I would love to see him go straight to finals from q1, but I think he's gonna struggle to start with.

5/28/2025 3:15am Yeah, mud races are a great watch, but when the whole of last season was wet and muddy (except for world champs), so it'd be nice to see some dry racing. Wonder how the athletes are feeling about it, coming off an entire race season of wet races, and two more straight away.

5/27/2025 9:07pm Don't get me wrong, mud races are cool. But it seems like we've had a quite a lot (maybe I'm remembering last season wrong) and dry races are cool as well. I like seeing them go fast AF, and you can go faster in the dry, so faster = moar rad?
