Friend of mine noticed something different about the bike ravanel is riding in her most recent IG post and it appears to be some sort of commencal downcountry bike It's missing the seat stay pivot seen on the metas and appears to have something covered up in the front triangle.

brash, It's 1987 all over again:

30 years ago, I had the exact same thing.... was called a girvin flexstem it worked like a normal stem, but had a little skateboard truck bushing in it to give around 1 inch of bar travel. At the time it was pretty revolutionary and worked pretty good. I remember going to a skateboard shop in the early 90's, buying out all their bushings to figure out which one worked best. Merida has a new enduro bike, saw it today at the Spanish Enduro Cup ridden by Toni Ferreiro. It is a complete redesign and looks production ready. Full carbon frame, mullet wheelsize, probably 170mm fork, and now it's when it gets interesting, the suspension layout it's a linkage driven singlepivot (very similar to a Commencal Meta) but it's a flex pivot. Unfortunately for you my friends, it has another of those cables-through-the-headset bullshit (please start raging below). No photos yet tho...
