This is an awesome option for people who bought bikes with Zeb R or RC dampers, especially because the kit includes a valving kit for internally tuning the mid and high speed compression. Cool to see! Hope it rides as well as the rear shock.

The power always seems to grab the headlines and freak people out. These Avinox bikes are still limited to 20mph like all class 1 bikes and I guess 28mph if you put it into Class 3 Mode (this is the more scarier part I think, they should just eliminate this mode, I'm not even sure if it's still available on...

I fixed the copy-paste error...as for the dentist question, we were going to, but then we were afraid the lawyers would feel left out.

JJF's set of questions says "Is this Geometron your only bike?" Also you should have included "how long have you been a dentist?" in the interviews.

it mentioned that XT / SLX are being prioritized for the next big release, any mention of updates to Saint? all of these groups (XTR, XT, SLX) have had a major update since the last Saint update (for XTR this is actually the second update since Saint M820, which IIRC was 2012).

Finally some sane thought on bleeding brakes vs the guys who think a bleed is needed every damn day for some reason.

el capitan Added a comment about product review Highline Dropper

5/21/2018 10:32am
I've had my highline for the past couple of months, admittedly I don't have a ton of seat time on the bike I installed it on. It's been great, only complaint is the return speed is a little slow. If the post is on your primary/only bike I'm sure it's not as noticeable but switching between my bikes the slower speed is def. noticeable (when compared to the transfer on my other bike). With the oneup dropper out now, this post is going to have much stiffer competition at this pricepoint.

Have to admit, this bike was alot of fun to ride. Def. wanted to hate it, but on the mellow(er) local trails I'm used to it was a blast(like the Spominator mentions above).

I've been riding, building, and racing mountain bikes most of my 33 years. Without reservation, this one is my favorite. I love the geometry: the longish TT (size medium) mates perfectly with a 35mm stem, 800mm bars, and my 5'10" frame. It does not climb like a bike of its heft or trail/gravity orientation, especially with Climb Switch engaged. Pointed down is whereshe really shines of course, and I've yet to engage Beast Mode! I mean, Gravity Mode. The lower BB and slackish HTA make for a stable, confidence-inspiring, super playful ride. The Pike Solo and CCDBI outshine any FOX suspension...

Yes it is a budget, but there are certainly places you can save major $$$, like: -Cheaper cockpit(mentioned below) -Cheaper brakes (Code R's run like $300 for a pair retail) -Azonic Outlaws $350ish -X7 drivetrain $70 derailleur/shifter $30 blah blah, bike looks great tho!

davetrumpore Liked a product review First Ride: Guerilla Gravity MEGATRAIL

8/14/2014 9:44am
by Dave Trumpore We recently had a chance to visit the folks at Guerrilla Gravity in Denver, Colorado for a tour of the shop and to take a look at their newest trail bike project, the Megatrail. In a day and age where most manufacturing, welding, and assembly happens far overseas, it was quite refreshing to see the inner workings of a more homegrown operation right here in our backyard. Guerrilla Gravity truly keeps it local by doing all of the work in house. The only exception being the CNC bits that are contracted out, but even those are produced...

When I caught my first glimpse of Guerrilla Gravity's new Megatrail, its unique styling and the fact that it was hand built in the USA caught my attention. When all the details were released I knew that this bike would be right up my alley. By coincidence I happened to break my old frame days after the original glowing review from Vitalmtb was released and I knew I had to have it. I immediately put down a deposit on a frame and was contacted by Will, one of the co-owners thanking me for my purchase and offering any help along...
