I appreciate that they are trying to provide a bit more clarity on the chainline situation. The previous o'chain product info websites provided almost nothing. I digress, it seems that the chainring you mentioned is a zero offset chainring based on some quick googling. So I take the ochain website, and your article to suggest that the ochain has a 3mm offset to it. So 55mm chainline when run on a dub wide crank, or 53mm chainline when run on a standard dub crank. They’ve also introduced an external travel adjust upgrade kit to convert internally adjustable models. And the new B1 models are only available for SRAM 3/8-bolt cranks and Bosch’s CX5 motor. 4/27/2026 3:40pm I use wolftooth 32t chainrings on my ochain equipped bikes... no grinding and no issues. In my experience, most aluminum chainring wear about the same amount more or less... so it doesn't matter to me which brand as long as the chain retention is acceptable.

4/24/2026 1:51pm I get the sentiment of what you're saying... but I would contend that the avinox motors have throttles... you just operate them by moving your feet. 460w of output with 25w of input, 800w of output with 100w of input and max power being delivered at 160w of rider input, is not pedal assist. It is pedal driven throttle assist.

I think, the a1 calipers with the larger pistons are worse in this regard, as the maven base calipers I have do not seem to be so sensitive.
