I have heard in the past, that avinox requires that the warranty be processed through the OEM brand, and that the oem brand is responsible for managing their own warranty stock for motor replacement (not sure about battery). 4/8/2026 12:25pm DVO does it because you need to constantly check their IFP pressure because it loses pressure... they bill this as a feature and I would say that is clever marketing as it's an issue. There is honestly a bigger risk of consumers just draining or improperly checking and not re-filling an IFP... so a plain shraeder attachment is not something...

4/8/2026 9:43am I tried the thick grip thing for a while, but it didn't end up sticking because of some arthritis in my thumb joint. I digress, the thick grips that I liked the most were Deity supracush and trail 1 hells gate.

I don't know their exact reasoning but I would guess the dimpling is more repeatable than anything else - controlling the surface finish before and after anodising is probably challenging, but also the aluminium tubes do wear and can get smoother over time - these dimples won't. I saw someone posting measured surface finish values a while ago, and the RS forks were in a pretty good range (not too smooth) but the older forks were much smoother in the area where they were working the most. While a "rougher" finish is better than a highly polished one, it doesn't...

I would think that a radial brushed pattern in the fork stanchion would be the better solution. I've honestly always found it a bit odd that we rely on a highly polished/anodized fork...
