Its great to hear your feedback. I watched the EWS and DH WC RAW and slideshows religiously, but I rarely commented. Recently I kind of came to the realization that there are actual humans behind the online media content we consume (I know right, who knew?) and have been trying to make an effort to comment more. Vital has always...

It almost seems like workers labor is undervalued by the people running the companies they work for. Like workers aren’t receiving a fair share of the value they generate for their firms. I’m just spitballing here.

Another rider who could be one for a great result is Remi Thirion. Seems like he has been flying a bit under the radar since his move to Giant, but the man is a master of the steeps and had a 3rd here last year and a 2nd in Maribor.
I've been thinking about something very similar, but in regards to BMXs and hardtails rather than motocross bikes. I recently got a dirt jump hardtail for a Velosolutions pumptrack that opened up in my area and I was struck by how many 'reps' you can get in. If you spend a few hours at a pumptrack, you can get 100ish...

Rad to see Yonatan is a reviewer now. I remember watching his Vital Raw videos and day dreaming about going to Israel and riding those trails. I also always appreciate a review more when I know that the reviewer is a properly fast and talented bike rider.

I definitely agree re. momentum over flat bumps. A couple years back I rode a loaner Nomad (27.5) from my local shop while my Sentinel (29) was getting some work done. The bikes felt like a reasonably similar speed on steeper terrain, but as soon as I entered a traversing section of my local trail that is fairly flat and...

I think there is an error in the first section about Canyon's sizing guide. You said "Trying a random size like 175cm (5'9") height with a 73cm (29") inseam delivered the message you can see below", but in the image below you have a 24inch inseam listed. As someone 175cm tall with about a 28/29inch inseam, I am already considered to have short legs. A 24inch inseam would be wildly out of the normal parameters for human proportions. I think the issue may have been a typo, not a problem with the sizing calculator.

Another suggestion for getting weight on the front wheel: a longer stem. I'm not advocating people go crazy and throw and 90mm behemoth on the front of their bike, but switching from a 35/40mm stem to a 50, you'll likely find it much easier to weight the front wheel with the same stack height.

Nice! That's a great friend to hook you up like that. I think you've got enough bike there to do anything, and you should be set for a long, long time if you keep up with maintenance. You could race a NW Cup downhill race on that bike, then change tires and do a cross country race the next weekend. Great do-it-all bike.

Welcome to Washington! I think you've got the right idea when it comes to amount of travel, but I would highly encourage you to not spend that much money if you're riding the green and blue lines at Duthie. I'm a former pro downhill racer and I would never spend that much on a bike, because I think the benefits are so small. The difference between SLX and XTR is almost nothing. Ditto for GX and XX1. Even Deore and NX bikes are totally rideable. You'll end up replacing a few things due to personal preference (taller/shorter bars, different tires...

Every time I see KHS mentioned, I’m amazed they’re still around. Mainly because no bike pub covers them unless it’s related to a self-created video.

Not sure why he's stopped posting things, but that dude came out of nowhere with some of the most incredible bike handling I've ever seen. I was surprised he wasn't put on the Cannondale Waves team with Bryceland given he rode one of their bikes and seems (from the outside) to fit that vibe.
