4/6/2020 7:13am I've used a number of different fully tailored frame protection kits, and they're not for me. The vinyl is too thin to actually protect the frame in places that you need, and you spend a ton of extra hours installing it to make sure everything lines up perfectly. I prefer to use the Hijinx 2.0 kit from Upland Stoke because the vinyl is actually thick enough to protect the frame in the places you need protection, there are plenty of extension pieces to fit an XXL frame, and it's relatively quick to install. More time on the trails and less...

Good video. I think having dialed suspension and a bike that fits properly are the 2 biggest things in a bike riding well. For some reason a lot of people aren’t into the custom tuned suspension thing, never really understood that when people drop 4-10k on a bike but then won’t spend an extra $300-400 to get the suspension perfect. They will buy a product that they can put into their fork or shock, like the Runt, but won’t go for a full tune. The fit thing is a different conversation, drives me nuts when I see people running super...

The reduction in arm pump is huge, too, i feel like i have much better brake control at high speed.

3/17/2020 6:38pm 5 Stars implies perfection. If you read through the review, I was able to get the rebound dialed in to an acceptable point, but I'm still trying to find more control deeper in the stroke. I also was able to dial in the air spring to a point, however I still think there's more to be desired in the relationship with initial suppleness and mid-stroke support. I think for the right riders, especially lighter weight riders, this fork could be a really great choice. The rebound circuit would become much more useable, and with the fork being super light, it...

2/27/2020 7:35pm Noah is right, the tires in this test were legit (as they needed to be for the desert gnar). I still dream of something that is the weight of my Top Fuel but just a hair more capable. Basically, any of these bike's performance at 25-27lbs. Though, to be honest, the Top Fuel blows my mind most of the time.

2/27/2020 7:33pm My advice to people: do not weigh your bikes - unless you're trying to build up a hill-climb specific bike. There have been a lot of tests and studies about bike weight, and the consensus is, it doesn't matter nearly as much as people think it does. For some reason, we all still think trail bikes should be ~28lbs, it's been that number for as long as I can remember. It was that number when I worked at shops - before we had dropper posts and tire choices beyond: folding, wire bead, or DH. When forks had 30 or 32mm...

2/27/2020 7:31pm Jeff, slow people don't need heavy tires, strong wheels, or real brakes. This, in turn, makes their bikes much lighter.

I'm on the XXL now with the chainstays in the longer position. I will eventually switch to the shorter position and see how it changes the ride quality, but to be honest, I think the long position could be even longer...

ATTN TALL GUYS! I actually now have an XXL Tallboy and I plan to update this review with some notes about the size difference. Without writing a book in the comments, it's awesome, and I must say it's really sweet to ride a bike that fits. Stay tuned for some updates.
