"Honey, I shrunk the DAQ!" First testride with the new Trazer V2.2 and the new Sensors. About 50 % smaller Trippled Battery capacity Standalone USB-C charging port Beeper for UX support Two Buttons with LED Front Sensor is now a "standard" linear potentiometer with a carbon tube "casing" Re-designed rear sensor that now has a bearing instead of plastic on plastic with small air gaps. Works great! Edit: Another overlay video for those interested. Also with a pretty stiff fork setup regarding dynamic sag (21%) ;-) https://youtu.be/1LCTslCTWLQ?is=856_7CwAul5PZ51R

Jumping in to make a couple of points. You can't actually compare the first image to the second and reliably deduce an answer for most questions as you have said they are different trails, different riders, different suspension and surely different settings/setups, different durations and different environments. It doesn't help that the plots are different scales. These 2 images show absolutely everything different (maybe the ambient temperature was the same???), and so any difference in output could be from any difference in input. Just because something is obvious to see in the plots, doesn't mean there's an obvious reason/fix. "...

Yeah the shape of the curve can tell you how damped it is, eg an overdamped system might peak quite early in the travel then slow down while an underdamped bike will stay high or even accelerate further in to the travel. Can also be used to see how ramp up or bottom out systems are working and also rebound damping. Peak rebound speeds normally happen just after it reaches bottom out and is extending, so you can see if low rebound speeds are being caused by too much damping or if it isn't reaching far enough in to the...

How does one read those charts? I mean, I know what they're showing but there's a lot of data density there. Is the shape of the envelope what you're looking at?

2 different position vs velocity charts, different riders, different tracks. Top image is a boxxer with 3.2 damper and second is with 3.1 damper. Obvious from the second image that the rebound in the rear could do with speeding up, average is -253mm/s and max at -1327mm/s. First image average rebound is -390mm/s and max at -2697mm/s.

What you describe sounds just like super-short chainstay bikes, not necessarily a high pivot. I'm super curious to hear your feedback on that Dreadnaught to verify your theory. LONG RANT INBOUND From my limited experience, it sounds like one of the main benefits of high or mid-high pivot bikes is that the idler pulley on most designs acts like a chainless rear suspension- it is typically tuned to reduce any chain pull and subsequent drag on suspension performance. Its hard to sus out this difference along with the change in axle path. A more rearward axle path will obviously help...

Could I please request that people add a quick reminder note of their bike & suspension with these posts? eg Bike: 2023 Levo Fork: FOX 38 170mm Shock: Vivid Coil 550lb/in spring I lose track of what people are on, and I think its important to not forget the context of what the data relates to. So also include what you feel it could be better or is doing well in terms of is it bottoming, harsh on big bumps, wallowing on rolling terrain and so on. Just looking at a set of numbers, there can be multiple things causing...

There's probably a few reasons - A full size schraeder valve will reduce frame clearance or IFP volume, and both are usually at a premium already. Picture below is a DVO with full size schrader, vs a Fox X2 cap The sunken schraeder design like rockshox and new fox shocks is actually a standard part - its the same thread as inside a regular schraeder and is also ubiquitous in the HVAC industry. So the adapter is easy to find is fine to use with a standard shock pump I like the pellet sealing systems, it does seem to give...

Oh yeah with that 2-stage compression stack it will be super light.....I'm not sure how much the second stage will be doing with the 0.2mm total crossover gap and 12mm OD shim in there. If you're lucky, it might be equivalent to their CL tune, but I would also look very closely at the compression shims once you have torqued the piston bolt - a small clamp shim and big face shims are super prone to flexing away from the piston once tightened down. There should be ZERO daylight between the face shim and piston. It's easiest to tune a...

I don’t have the full run in front of me, but based on what’s shown here, I can echo the suggestions from @TheSuspensionLabNZ and @carlinojoevideo. 1) SAG looks fine, but it could probably be improved (playing with air and compression). 2) I’d try better to balance rebound and compression between the front and rear. You can go either way: speed up the front or speed up the rear, depending on which end you liked most. I’d also recommend trying lower air pressure and compensating for the reduced spring support with more damping (which may include revalving). Running the rebound completely...

I personally wouldn’t touch the pressures if they were the same bike with different head angles. But then having 66 and 62.5 tells me that the bikes are going to be used for 2 totally different applications so then, yes technically you would need to adjust the pressures for each discipline. 🤓 No need to change pressure for the shape...

Hello there! Would be absolutely great to get some screen shots from a run and for someone to go through exactly what there analysing. I’m sure it would be useful for people and for everyone to talk about and give their opiniones on certain things. I’m totally new to this so abit of learning from people who know their stuff...

I'm curious about why Mondraker's MIND system didn't succeed. The system has distance sensors in the front fork and rear suspension pivot. Mondraker could have easily done the basic position based derivates and therefore general suggestions for end user on balance and suspension setup on their web portal. I have this system on my bike, but the electronic hardware keeps failing. I've stopped sending it back to the factory for replacement because it took them over a year to create entirely new hardware for the Summum, and then development seemed to stop altogether. The phone application updates are infrequent, if...

Hello everyone, I'm following up to share the latest details on the Telemetry V3 family: BYB Telemetry V3 and BYB Telemetry V3 Pro Here you can find just an easy summary table with the main differences (there are a lot of new features, not listed below...otherwise the comparison table would have been way longer!) More info here: https://bybtech.it/product/telemetry For any questions, we're always available to reply: enrico@bybtech.it Best Enrico
