It was said below and I agree; if it was stated in the riders' meeting that shuttling, even during practice to the bottom of a stage, is prohibited, that rule supersedes the written rule. You simply cannot give riders an exception to rules defined in the riders' meeting just because they did not attend, even if the new rule(s) is not written down and published. The point of riders' meetings is to verbally relay last minute changes and updates. This is common knowledge, so just attend the meeting. As for the case of other riders doing the same during practice...

Although I disagree with the terrible UCI rule as well, and am definitely signing the petition above, I don't really get why this is a "USAC hates you" article. It's about the UCI's terrible rules, not USAC. It's ridiculously easy to get an event USAC sanctioned. Just for instance, there was an MTB short track race series (4 races total) this past summer here in central Ohio, just at a local city park. It was basically a big grass field with one large hill (I'd call it more of a "bump") in the middle. The entire course was visible by...

I think it´s funny how the UCI digs out this rule, now that they probably realized how long they sat on their ears concerning freeride and enduro racing. Because World Cups are held for money, too. So, naturally, they want to dry out the EWS, the big freeride events and the likes until they get their stuff sorted and/or the organizers pay to have their events sanctioned. Money´s also one of the reasons why gravity disciplines get much less love than, say, certain EPO-prone disciplines...

No Brandon...this rule has always being there for the past at least 5years...but nobody paid attention, until few countries that were affected...as I stated in the Vital FB, in our country, we have not have a sanctioned race in the last 5years, we held one in 2008...prior of that, the last one was in 2003....but the problem our federation have with us, is that in our country just me and my friend Carlos Castillo have organized races through the entire time...some other races are so small, that the Federation does not care about..... But, on the other hand, La Ruta...

Seems like a good marketing tactic to me. It's basic human nature to want what you can't have. I have no interest in buying a Rock Shox fork or shock, but now suddenly I have the urge to want to at least try their new shock. I'm sure they'll eventually sell the shock to everyone, and when they do, they will sell.

This broke out back in mid December (yeah in the middle of the Gwinn-TWR issue), but I investigated and talk to some of the people over Cyclingnews, and they confirmed the news, payments to UCI by RR were not being made, RR stopped publishing news in english (it was required by contract), also a lot of their editors and writers calls quit after not being paid for months...all this sum up that the UCI was looking "undercovered" for some sponsorship, but seems they were not lucky enough, then it came Lance developments, now they call it out loud in the...
