How has this not sold yet? This is a great deal at your original $4K asking price. $3K is stealing it. I'm very happy with my '17 Remedy 9.8 (and '18 Transition Smuggler), or I'd be on this.

This is a great video, but like all things bike, there is shaving seconds for racing, and then there is riding with the buds, apply the right tool for the job. WC DH riders have their shorts hemmed as tight as possible for that little bit of time savings. P

If people want to wear spandex, great for them, but I'm not out on the trail to race them, i'm out there to enjoy and have fun. So anyone wearing spandex wouldn't enjoy riding with me, because we ride to have fun, so spandex, no strava.

Correct, what you state in your quote above is simply referring to the actual shock measurement, but I was talking about the sag percentage formula, which is shown in graphic form on the screen just after the quote you referenced. It shows [uncompressed shock length - compressed shock length] / uncompressed shock length x 100 = Sag Percentage. Which of course is incorrect. For instance, a 7.875" eye-to-eye x 2" stroke shock should have ~1/2" sag (25%). But [(7.875" - 7.375") / 7.875"] x 100 = 6.35%

No mention of what to do now that the cassette is off... Filing down the top of the freehub splines where material was pushed upward (from the cassette digging in) will help with re-installing the cassette immensely, as well as allow the cassette to slide back off again much more easily the next time around.

Good video overall, but there's a mistake in sag percentage calculation in the video. In the *text* of the article, it says to divide actual sag measurement (uncompressed shock length - compressed shock length) by total shock stroke. THAT'S correct. But in the VIDEO, it says to divide the sag measurement (uncompressed - compressed) by *uncompressed shock length*, which of course is not correct. That'll give you a tiny percentage. Simple oversight of course, as it is correct in the text, after all.

Wow. Go talk to your local trail building/maintenance organization or IMBA chapter and try to argue your viewpoint. Who really believes skidding on the trail isn't destructive??? And as for the weather, that is in fact the main reason that trail maintenance is necessary due to erosion, but it's unavoidable and uncontrollable, so it doesn't really counter my argument. Rider behavior, however, IS controllable. Huge difference. Sounds like you're the type that also goes out and ride trails after rain (and snow and other weather conditions) and tears up the trails even more than skidding. Trails don't just get built...

If these grassroots (and huge, like Teva, etc) events were USAC sanctioned, there wouldn't be an issue at all. The rule would still be buried and off-radar. So kinda has a lot to do with ease of getting a permit. Again, yes the rule sucks and should be deleted from the books, but seems like there's a very simple solution to me. I already signed the petition, and that's all I'll say on the matter.

Although I disagree with the terrible UCI rule as well, and am definitely signing the petition above, I don't really get why this is a "USAC hates you" article. It's about the UCI's terrible rules, not USAC. It's ridiculously easy to get an event USAC sanctioned. Just for instance, there was an MTB short track race series (4 races total) this past summer here in central Ohio, just at a local city park. It was basically a big grass field with one large hill (I'd call it more of a "bump") in the middle. The entire course was visible by...
