4/16/2015 9:15am They make an XL in their Carbine 29er but it's barely an XL. They've never been known to recognize anyone over about 6'2", which seems odd for a boutique manufacturer that makes many of their bikes in CA. If anyone could address this very specialized niche it would be them.

4/16/2015 9:12am No disrespect to Intense and their racing history, but I have a hard time seeing why someone would choose this instead of a V10. Even the C version of the V10 frame is going to be significantly lighter and frankly looks a lot more polished. I appreciate keeping production in the US, but frankly this bike looks like a throwback to 2007. And speccing 740mm bars on a DH bike? Really!?!? It's not like Rental doesn't make a wider bar...

4/6/2015 3:37pm At ~22, she is better spoken than most her age interviewing for jobs. Her replies were quick, concise, and contained very few "uhhh's" and "ummm's." When she's ready to retire from DH, she'll do well in the mortal professional world. Good for her.

8/27/2014 11:33am Again you run into the same problem of adding 250g per wheel. The Schwalbe system is 230 grams for the system.

8/27/2014 9:51am That makes sense. It stands to reason that Schwalbe came up against the same thing and eventually settled on this system, that weighs as much as it needs to to work.

8/27/2014 9:27am What if you took a small tube and put a series of electrical tape wraps along it to restrict its volume?

2/28/2014 10:04am Look like cool bikes. A pity they aren't making an XL.

I love that there are many options for bikes like this. Is there a reason why as Niners get bigger they lose that sloping top tube? The smaller sizes look awesome but they get increasingly square as the sizes go up.

11/7/2013 1:33pm I've been running 10spd with a clutch derailleur and no tensioner for the last 30-odd rides and haven't thrown a chain yet. I would expect this ring to offer even more security (not that I need any).

I'm 6'6". That large will be nearly long enough but insufficient stack. I never understand why bike companies feel the need to make the front end as low as possible for the larger sizes - taller riders need higher bars. That being said that's a pretty large large but not large enough.

Oh hey look, tall people not welcome. It's funny because 29ers are ideal for tall people.
