Haha, build got expensive . Its just well serviced. The damper is really holding the bike back and is gonna be changed soon!

Vital should consider ditching the star ratings. Of the fifty bikes Vital has recently reviewed, 46 were 4s or 4.5s (2 5s and 2 3.5s). Yeah, I know, modern bikes are really good. But telling us the vast majority are either "excellent" or "outstanding" isn't helpful, and it makes the ones that are simply "very good" seem like shite.

Seems to be where things are heading geometry wise alright, glad he specifically calls out low BBs, that's one area where a lot of bikes have already gone too low.

I don't want to sound like a dick, hence why I just said "no" (so maybe you could go research this). You are wrong for two big reasons. 1) Your hypothesis isn't right to begin with. Go look at any non-high pivot. Measure the amount the wheel path comes forward. You'll find even a bike that isn't a high pivot extends backwards first then goes forward. Agree to disagree might be the best option here. I've basically written a phd level thesis on this topic lol. I don't want to go repeat it here but for fun, I'll try and quickly break this down for you. 1) You are ignoring how immaterial the rear center change really is. A Yeti SB140 is basically neutral, (4mm back, 5mm forward). Other bikes mirror this to a lesser extent. You aren't going to feel that no matter where you are in the bike's travel. How come it's so had to find a hardtail with not short chain stays? The longest I can find is on a Giant Fathom at 435 mm. Why is it different than full sus trends?
