What is the source for the claim that Pivot did not put this prototype through lab testing? Pivot certainly has the resources and the experience to lab-test any new frame and I would, frankly, be surprised if they had actually skipped that step. If true--big 'if'--it would be downright irresponsible. One thing I have heard over and over in interviews with downhill racers is that is difficult to truly replicate 'race pace' riding or bike responses in testing. I'm not fast enough to know if that's accurate or not, but if so, then testing prototypes in actual races makes some...

Likewise. As much as I love aggressive trail bikes for descending, it’s a relief when its time to spin back to the truck and the mellower stuff is still enjoyable.

Too true. All the YouTuber trail narcs & Strava KOM lorders have to brag to the world for the clicks. Even if a team rig rolls up...without the narcs, you'd still have to find it, test it out and do work to get to and from. DH trails are dead now though. "Trinidad" and all the others are now the domain of the SurRon urban vape douches and their next IG reel featuring ASAP Rocky and their comments to outraged locals of "you seem turnt bruh. chill"

I'll throw the We Are One Arrival into the mix. If we are to see a change in manufacturing/shipping/environmental habits within our industry, then having a truly boutique, North American-made carbon frame option is something worth looking at. Yes they are expensive, but when you consider what goes into making it, and that a frame isn't any more money than a Santa Cruz frame, well it starts to look pretty good. The latest batch of completely bare frames is such a bold move. If you've ever watched a video on how Koenigsegg makes their bare panels, then you know how...

This is the best Vital content in years. An all-star cast that shred and don’t take it too serious, along with a nicely selected group of bikes. Great insight on each bike along with the industry in general. A+ footage is just the bonus. Thanks for the hard/fun work.
