Pretty accurate pictorial of how non-mountain bikers see mountain bikers. Heck, it's how most of the outdoor industry/media sees mountain biking. ... Still. If I had a nickel for every ad I see of a guy carrying a mountain bike across a log over a stream advertising extreme lip balm or some shit, or editorial image of a turd on a circa-1992 hardtail in an Outside article, I'd pour them down my throat and clog my esophagus so I could choke to death before having to see the next one.

Spomer, thank you for always having my back! The story is, I haven't had a bike sponsor for about 3 years. When budgets cuts hit Specialized marketing in 2013, my AllRide tour and Allride Jr development got dropped. I was super bummed but wanted to stay on the brand so I got a frame from friends that worked there in hopes budget would come back. I sent out proposals but teams were filled and I was branded. It was really no prob because I have great sponsors like Sram, FOXMTB, Clif Bar, and Camelbak that stepped up and kept me...

i whole-heartedly agree w/ you about plenty of washed up riders who want a paycheck and not deserving it. kirt, however, based on his talent, creativity and the content he's putting out NOW seems incredibly more valuable and relevant than a mid-pack DH or EWS racer (sorry, not trying to hurt feelings). his personality is contagious too as he seems to get along with anyone he's around. that alone would be extremely important to me as a brand. the ROI is that he leaves an extremely positive impression on everyone he meets (cam mccaul, ratboy...too many pro and non-pro to...

Holy cow. FIX THIS. Richie Schley has frame sponsor AND a Mercedes deathtruck, and all he ever gave us was dead sailor drops and bad tabletops. Voreis delivers the fun and skill and makes people want to ride.

No. Anywhere all of this bikes features as a whole package (electric motor, DH geometry, travel, cost) would factor in would be overwhelmingly trumped (sorry) by an actual motor-powered moto or, for argument's sake, an electric moto. I saw my first ebike at the local lift serviced bike park ridden by an admitted first-time mountain...

You guys have dabbled in covering WC XC in your super-awesome, high-quality, content-saturated, non-overly-image-processed slide shows. I for one am not at all against seeing more of them. The Carins track looked interesting enough, was hoping it'd get featured.

Hope the weather holds. Photos, stories, interviews always on point. Not so sure I agree about the RB broadcast and its new preshow monkey dance. Rather that time went to show more riders on track.
