or we didn't want it instantly buried. there have been nearly 20 homepage posts in the last 24 hours or so (we knew it would be this busy). barnes vid would be obliterated to the bottom. after WC this week when things slow down, we plan to put it up. how hilarious is the choir section HAHA!

But it's still the rider vlogs keeping the stoke alive. Glad to see the squid course previews back too. It's like riding with your friends. Race is almost done at this point, I'm sure some sort...

Just hopped on Fantasy (didn't do 1st round). Just gotta say props to the guys who built up the format on here. Much easier to use system than the other site's fantasy selection.

sven and squid POVs from ews were (are) the best! the algorithm hates them (prob b/c it's real, not fluffy #vloglife) and comments like the one below (on the current misspent video) were rampant when we ran them...totally missing the point of the whole video. they're loose, sketch and about to explode at any moment. of course the footage will be shaky and have bad angles. that's what makes them so rad IMO!

going to sound like an old guy with no vision, but i just think that downhill mountain biking (or any competitive mountain biking) will always have a limited audience because of what it is. i prob feel that way b/c i've seen the audience size stay relatively similar over the last 25 years (i have no hard data on this, just personal observations from then till now). DH is inherently niche because it's difficult to access (as a participant or a live spectator), expensive and risky. add in today's challenge of social media networks/phones dominating eyeballs and time compared to...

worst. idea. ever. hope it's not true. just more risk for some riders. DH is not moto, it's not F1, they're not racing against competitors on the same track at the same time. if 20 finalists is "the best tv show" for the numbers to make sense, then just leave it at that. we'll all be upset for a year or two about how it's not like the old days, lick our wounds and riders will either try to compete for top 20 or regional/national series will become more populated. i can't even imagine the cost to put on a...
