fantasy results should show up in the next 10-30 mins. @FerrousBueller - once results are live, you can see other people's teams (if you didn't know). https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy/standings?league=44131&season=8031&rou… they're live what a crazy race! re: roczen in booth - he's rad guy and really good mountain biker, but his presence totally detracted from race calls IMO. my guess is that b/c red bull super mega founding HQ is in salzburg (down the street), he was invited in. imagine booting james stewart from the booth to be replaced by "insert any DH racer" to call the show at a supercross?

had a fun casual day roaming the mountain today. the first actual practice day isn't until friday, but riders were shredding laps. i mucked about with some pans, so there's not a lot of variety, but i threw in some randoms for fun. where's boris? bridges from the days of butch and profro griz and jack rice rollin' deep if you know the riders, let us know. one of the jewetts henri kiefer (pretty sure) TFR was hyped to see this line up. a 20-25-year old skinny rotting away below the new monolithic beast of today. will post some pics...

Thanks folks ... still remember meeting Spomer at a NORBA so many years ago and knowing instantly I’d met someone who got this whole MTB thing. Years of Littermag then Vital later and that still holds true! Cheers for the good times on this journey of bikes!

Should have painted the frame silver first. Would have matched that fork way better.... or just remove it and put a black 36 on it with white decals. LOL! Seriously though.... that sharpie doodle graphic never gets old to me when done well. Nice bike. Great story.

well spotted ... Radiohead, Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths and some Primal Scream for good measure on there. Stiff enough for me - 179cm/80kgs or so then add camera bag weight! I went from LT to this too - definitely enjoying new geo. Get yourself to a demo and try one out .. if you are used to the Nomad try a Megatower to start! cheers g

Hi Victor, I didn't do the AP on this bike .. but I did do the TP on it. The artwork is all about races, rides and places i've been for the last decade on Santa Cruz. hope that helps clear it up. cheers g

yes its a warthog family waiting for a rhino to finish his drink ... #28's caption should have read: This was one of the last images on my card before shooting today's recon/practice & with the heat that is forecasted for tomorrow I hope we don't revisit this scene where folks are crowding round the waterhole in Africa heat trying to get the last of the water.
