Unsure what kind of riding you are doing on your e-bike, but there are better options if you are looking to prioritze tread longevity on the rear (Eddy Current Radial, Albert, etc). The Tacky Chan was desinged to be a DH race tire. It will certainley work on E-bikes, but it sounds likes a tread pattern with a bit more meat on the tread cap would serve you better?

@Shinook copying this over to here so as to not continue blowing up tech rumors... This doesn't match my experiences. I tried both air and coil shocks on my Murmur and preferred the coil by a very wide margin. It felt absolutely horrible on air for me. I had 0 issues with bottoming out on rocky sections and pretty much the only time I got close was on drops to flat. Even then it wasn't harsh at any point. I ride mostly natural trails and tried it a few times at bike parks, never had this issue there either. OTOH...

OP was talking about expensive framesets, so it probably won’t do, but I’m still absolutely in love with my REEB SST. Something about the suspension design and steel frame make it feel just muted enough to ride on almost anything, but still super spritely and playful. It’s the perfect rig to play “bike LEGO” with, because it plays well with a super light and fast build, burly setup with a coil shock, and anything in between.

Exactly my reasoning for picking up a Romy diagonal for the rear - I prefer being able to slide the back a little instead of the Velcro feeling of the Albert, and a little pep while pedaling goes a long way for our locals.

I would probably just use a radial in the front and a regular casing in the rear if rolling resistance is of any significance

Yeah I appreciate the compound differences but I'm more talking about feel tbh. For me the MM corners better, feels like a smoother transition when leaning the bike over. Either way, just have more confidence and as it just seems to work in all conditions I'm more than happy to just leave it on there.

I got a good ride in on the Tacky Chan Gravity Pro. These finally are the radials for me. They roll fast, brake well, dig into loose dirt, and don't squirm on hardpack or smashing berms. In the new Grav Pro casing, the radial effect seems less than when I tried the Albert or MM, but I think that's for the better. They feel kinda slightly more muted than a normal casing most of the time, but if you hit roots they conform really well rather than pinging off. Really pushing hard into berms or loose corners, they deform and...

For the Tacky Chan i've done Trail Radial front, Trail diagonal rear. Nice fast rolling combo with great braking and cornering. Mary or Albert Gravity Radial front, TC Gravity Radial Rear is better for varying terrain imo. Worth highlighting the updated Gravity construction (with the blue "Pro" label) is significantly more supportive, lots of changes were done. For the Romy i've only tried the trail radial version. It's been great on the front with a Wicked Will in the back for fast trail riding. Also Mary or Albert front, Romy back is equally good, just more suited to all-mountain riding...
